How did your cylinder head gasket turn out? Any leaks? Your videos helped me. I couldn't get the cover out until I removed the frame supports, and then I could pull it out the side. Your video was a good guide. The manual states only to use gasket sealer on the 4 side grooves but I was thinking of doing the same thing as you and putting it on the top and bottom of the gasket. I can't see how that would hurt anything.

@@XInfantryman I didn’t pull the head; just the valve cover. ya I grey silicone my entire gasket never had another issue with it. Hit the rev limiter often and didn’t have any more leaks or smells over the 10,000 miles I put on it after the repair. Enjoy my friend happy to have helped!

@qgonzalez8852 Awesome. I'm waiting for my new gasket now to arrive. I was debating if I should silicone the entire gasket or just the left and right curves like the kawasaki manual states, but after seeing your response, I will seal the entire gasket. Thanks!

My 06 is also leaking did you replace the cover gasket as well ? Did you use any additional gasket maker or put washers under the bolts to cinch cover down better and did it fix your leak ?

Aaron polakiewicz yes grey silicon the entire valve gasket and, spark plug o rings also check your pcvs arnt clogged sorry for the delayed response good luck.
