Thank you, this really helped me. The lower bolt was difficult to remove for me like some other said. Not a lot of room to get a good angle with a wratchet.

Hi, when you removed the old shock you had a washer on the bottom as well but when you replaced the new shock you didn't put it back ? Why ? 2nd question, when you titeghned the middle bolt at the end of the video you said you needed helper to hold the shock, why ? What is the purpose of that? Thanks for taking the time to answer

I wonder what I’m doing wrong because when I click on the shock links in the description...it says they won’t fit my 2010 cx-7.

That bottom bolt is NOT easy to remove. It's rusted on pretty good. Had to heat mine up to get it off.
@ChadWilliamsFixesAll6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, mine was pretty rusted as well. Luckily, I didn’t have bust out the heat, but I did have to turn it out by hand the whole way except at the end. Glad you got yours out!
@barruzza6 жыл бұрын
Took me hours. I did have to heat it up. I also used a wire brush to the rust along with some liquid wrench. I wonder if the front struts will give me the same problem. Once that bolt was free, the rest was easy. Do you own a CX-7? The engine makes a lot of rattling sounds, the dealer told me that this is normal. No wonder Mazda doesnt make this model any more.

Sal Barruzza i own a Mazda I love it but I will replace the rear shocks because they make noise when I drive over a bump
