Thanks for the video. What is the reason we need to clean this? is it Check Engine Light turn on? Rough Idle? or part of 50,000 maint. schedule? Thank you
@YiannisPagonis3 жыл бұрын
a. Oxygen sensors get contaminated by chemicals that leak into the exhaust. For example, silicates enter the area when the coolant leaks because of a crack in the cylinder wall or a leaking head gasket. b. The bright orange Check Engine light in your dashboard will usually glow if you have a bad oxygen sensor. However, a Check Engine light could also be from another problem with your engine, or even a loose gas cap. c. Maintenance (cleaning) of all oxygen sensors must be done every 40,000-50,000 kilometers.

Can we use WD40 for cleaning spray ?
@YiannisPagonis15 күн бұрын
WD-40, gasoline, or carburetor cleaners are the solutions to help remove and clean the oxygen sensor effectively. Soft brush to remove “stubborn” dirt. Soft towel: dry the sensor after cleaning. In addition, you should also prepare extra gloves and glasses to avoid getting stuck with gasoline and cleaning solutions.

@@K_N_44 My friend, all you have to do is remove it, clean it and put it back. Then disconnect the negative terminal of your battery for about 15 seconds. Then reconnect the battery and start the engine. Maybe that's the problem with dirt. Also check the condition of the sensor cable for any damage or cuts.

Of course with the cleaning spray. Use a very good cleansing spray, like the one I use in the video. Insert the cleaning spray hose into the hole of the oxygen sensor and then you will see that most (if not all of the charcoal) dirt will be removed. Repeat this process several times.
