Hi Jim, I forgot to tell you I replaced the turn signal assembly on my 97 Chevy Lumina after watching one of your videos. I had the same problem with the brake lights not working. Replacing the turn signal assembly fixed the issue. Thanks Jim! 👍

Torque specs are: 24 ft-lbs on the slide pin bolts, 100 ft-lbs on the caliper bracket bolts and 100 ft-lbs on the lug nuts. It wasn't mentioned in the video so I looked it up.

2:30 the paint in the back of the rotor prevents rust forming which means easier removal later on

Always replace the boots or they will fail and allow moisture in and cause rust and a potential caliper to hang up.

What year is it that you need that special collapsing tool the part store said that certain years they rotate as they collapse

On the Bosch brake application site tutorial, it says to open the caliper bleeder screw when retracting the pistons. Otherwise, contaminated brake fluid can be pushed back thru the ABS pump and possibly damage the internal valves. Do you have an opinion on that aspect of the brake job?

@@diegoluquis9150 Wear of the in-line components and age. I'd say most mechanics skip this step, mainly to save time. Also, maybe the back pressure alone can damage the ABS.

If one piston is not going in all the way and the other one does as it should...do you need a caliper,? The upper piston went in very hard and it's not moving all the way in. The bottom went in so easy....

I need to do this job on my vehicle, but I do not have access to a torque wrench for the 19mm bolts at the end of the job. we are very poor, and have 5 kids, and times are tough right now, so please don't tell me to just go get a torque wrench, I know. Any help would be appreciated.
