New Brake Pad & Rotor Kit from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ABFS02463
Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes. This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ brake pads and rotors on your 2007-14 Ford Edge.
• Check here for more videos on the 2007-14 Ford Edge: • Ford Edge 2007-2014 1s...

Lighting was excellent(not like other video out there that can't show exactly what you mean). I couldn't get the piston to compress in until this vid on how to do it. Thank you for your time. Hey, great instructional video well done and covered everything required to do a proper job. I've gone the extra step by grinding/wire brushing the caliper surface after masking off the pistons, as well as the brake caliper bracket, and then high heat primer coat 3X followed by a caliper paint 3X before reinstalling. If you have wide spoked wheels, the extra effort sure shines through and they look like a brand new install/upgrade.

Well done. Done many DIY brake jobs in the past but since daughter bought a new used car thought I'd check out content on brakes before tackling the job so there were no surprises. Like others said, straight and to the point. Should be easy as it's like others I've done before. Thanks for sharing and well done.

Appreciate the info....always like to review these before performing on a vehicle I'm not 100% familiar with. 2 x comments: First, I would ALWAYS retract the piston with the old rotor around so you don't worry about accidentally damaging it or something....you can also spray WD-40 on the boot around the piston to help it collapse a little easier. Second, you can rent the tool to easily collapse the piston from Autozone for free instead of cracking the bleeder and would recommend at least bleeding it properly if you do open it.

Hey so this is probably way too late to reply, but they do make caliper piston tools that sit between the piston and the other end of the caliper, and are threaded to spin while applying compression force. It will probably give you a better shot, personally I'd be afraid to use the pliers because of the possibility of slipping the tearing the caliper grommet.

@@leonmarks8724 Brakes are weird now. Peddle depresses 3/4 way normal, with normal braking, but then peddle gets stiff & braking fades, requiring double the foot pressure to stop. Getting new tires Monday, having shop look at it & decide if I should replace calipers. Doh! Was almost the easiest brake job ever! Would have been if I had bothered to breeze through your entire (excellent) video! Not a bad idea to replace 9 year old calipers anyways, but I would have done fronts first.

@@StephenMattison66 Sounds like piston damage, won't go down all the way, best to replace. If you already replaced the brakes I am sure you will be able to replace the caliper as the piston will be in already. when you finish just open the bleeder screw and it will gravity bleed, although it will take some time.
