Hey i just changed mine but 4.6L came out. Note that the car wasnt levelled it was jacked on the driver side, should i put what came out or put what manual says which is 2.7L? Thanks
@brent33 ай бұрын
Add the same amount that drained out, theoretically it's the correct amount, unless it was overfilled to begin with. A quart low probably won't do any harm, I've seen transmissions blow lines and leak out and get refilled and be "fine". Just check the level when hot a couple times to dial in the correct level.
@D41Pat3 ай бұрын
@@brent3 thats my main concern is if its overfilled but then again it was shifting fine. Ill add what came out and check. I feel like its because i didnt level it and more came out than usual
@brent33 ай бұрын
@@D41Pat I think you're correct, it not being level changes where fluid would sit and drain out. On my '10 CRV when cold the fluid is at the bottom of the dipstick under the HOT lines. If it were me, I'd fill what came out, drive it, get it up to temp and check the level. IMHO better to have a bit too much fluid than a bit too little.
@D41Pat3 ай бұрын
@@brent3 so i ended up putting back however much came out but it was overfilled to begin with. I corrected it to the right amount about 2.7L. The drain plug can be on there pretty tight but it is in an easy to access area so getting a socket wrench or breaker bar on it is actually really easy and once it’s broken free it spins out by hand easily.
