2007-2014 Wireless Phone Charging Install for GM Trucks & SUV's

This video will show you how to install the Boost Auto Parts wireless charging kit into your 2007.5-2014 GM Truck or SUV. This covers Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, and Suburban vehicles that have the full center console.
The installation is completed in less than 15 minutes, and allows for 10 watt fast charging with Qi compatible phones. The charger has LED lights to indicate the status, and a full plug and play harness is included.

Finally got this for my 2011 Yukon Denali and these instructions were spot on and easy. I saved a step by drilling through the top console plate and I to the inside cover. The connector is snug through a 3/8 opening so I hollowed the holes out a bit. Works perfectly in fast charge mode. Thank you Boost Auto, so simple even a chick can do it!

I was able to install my wireless charger for my 2013 Yukon XL today. I’m not always great at figuring this out but this video is exactly what is needed for instructions. Super helpful video! Just received and installed my charger this week. The connector that attaches to the charger itself looks slightly different than the one in the video, it has a larger catch tab. It does not fit through a 3/8ths drill bit hole. Just a heads up. Consider a larger bit than they suggest here or use a ream after to widen it (I did the latter).

Some customers do not like a constant blue resting light, so we allow them to turn this off while still leaving the charger powered on.

Hello, That is to simply show you that the cigarette lighter can still be used for any accessories you have. It is not the plug for the charger. The charger is in an idle state when the truck is off. With no phone on the charger it is not charging. With a phone on the charger it will charge the phone.

So If I forget to press the middle button in the wireless charger for almost three seconds, and I turned the truck off, the charger will be totally off ? ( I will not put the phone on the charger when the car is off ) so the car battery will be Fine and I will not have a dead battery right?, sorry for the questions

Not unless you are actively charging with it. The charger in resting state (even with the LED resting light on) draws milliamps and would take months to drain the battery.

I have a larger phone (galaxy s10 plus with a larger case). When I line the phone up to where you install this wireless charger it does not fit all the way down into the hole as it is too wide, not by much. Does installing this "lift" the hole to become close to flush with the sides of the original hole? In the video it looks like it could be dang close to being flush but I'm not sure.

It is still a bit sub-flush, so if your phone won't sit level it may not charge adequately.

How well does this truly work with cases on? I have a Samsung Note 8 an have put several DIY wireless charging solutions in my console but none have worked an if it does I have to take the case off ( Defeats the purpose IMO) But seeing as this is a 10W if I'm gonna spend that kinda money I'd like peace of mind it will work with most cases.
