Hey, do you still like the rotors after almost a year? Aren't they cracking due to the cross drilled design?

I am very interested in putting these rotors and brake pads on my 2014 Dodge Durango RT w/tow package. I am curious about the wear pattern from the pads on the rotor. Does the black on the rotor wear down to a silver color or is the rotor material a consistent black throughout? Thanks!

I can tell you that for a heavy road car they will work ok until you get some temp into them. I have a 2004 3 series bmw and its a bit ligter then most cars so I have to get on the brakes a bit hard a few times and then they feel good. For a heavy car like yours they will be fine within probably 5 normal stops they should have decent heat in them to work ok. I know that once you get them nice and hot then they work pretty well. These are basically a go to for spirited driving down a mountain. Overall the pads dont really wear out too much and their dust is definitely lower then most other pads. Some downside to consider, like I said they need to be warmed up before they perform well even for daily use, so the first few stops wont feel good but after they are fine. They are a pain to bed in properly unless you have a heavy car which it wont be as bad. The issue with the bedding is that if you dont bed them well then they will never perform as great as they could. So I highly suggest considering another brake pad as its also a bit harsher on the rotor, so you will most likely have to change the rotors every time you change the pads. On the other side you wont be changing them often at all. I would suggest the hawk LTS pads for suv as they are specifically designed for suvs and trucks that dont have to haul super heavy loads. plus they are easier to bed in, wont squeal if bedded wrong and dont need much heat to work well.

Would you recommend the dual calipers or just upgrading to these? The duals are much more expensive... I'm pushing 37" tires on my original JK Brakes.

Big brake kit if you have a higher budget but if not even just the powerstop extreme is a night and day difference. Alot of it depends on budget and also the needs
