2007 Daytona Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Round 10 of 16 (SX Lites East Round 3 of 7) Part 1

This is part 1 of round 10 of the 2007 Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Championship, and round 3 of the 2007 Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Lites East Championship from Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, FL.
Returning contenders like 2004 champ Chad Reed, defending World Supercross champ James Stewart, Travis Preston, Nick Wey, Ivan Tedesco, Michael Byrne, Tim Ferry, David Vuillemin, Nathan Ramsey, Grant Langston, Kevin Windham, and defending champ Ricky Carmichael battle it out for the 2007 Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Championship and the 2006/2007 Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP. This is Ricky Carmichael's part-time season, and is dominated by James Stewart. James Stewart wins for the first time at Daytona in the premier class after his violent crash one year ago here.
Returning Lites contenders like Mike Alessi, Jeff Alessi, Billy Laninovich, Tommy Hahn, New Zealand transplant Ben Townley, Pro Circuit Kawasaki replacement Darcy Lange, 2003 champ Branden Jesseman, Suzuki rookie Ryan Dungey, Zach Osbourne, Ryan Morais, and others battle it out for the 2007 Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Lites East Championship. This race marks the only Supercross so far that Ryan Dungey fails to qualify for the main event.

What was the year of Daytona where Stewart was tapping the top of that wall jump that nobody else was doing? He ended up missing it and the crash was nasty. But what he was doing that nobody else was....classic Stew.

That was 2011. Stewart actually crashed off a different obstacle and came back for a 9th place finish. It's on my channel. Somehow that race got spared from FELD blocking my races past 2010 that I posted.

@@johntomasik1555 Hahaha. No kidding. That's what made James something to watch. Personally, I never liked James because of all the on-track incidents he caused (Phoenix '10 and Houston '11 to name a few). You're welcome for the info. I will say though that I do believe that crash from Stewart wasn't a case of him going stir-crazy out front. He just got a case of a panic rev and when he wheelied into the face of that triple and I heard the bike rev, and James' nose dipping, I knew it was over. I was more surprised the Asterisk Medical Crew just assisted him in getting going again and didn't check him out on the spot.

@@MathewVsSportsMediaandGames Yeah having watched it again it was a bit different than what I remembered. I couldn't help but like Stewart, even though he did have some bone-head moments. He was always a professional, always seemed to race clean, and seemed a nice guy with no excuses or whining.

@@johntomasik1555 I got that vibe from him, too, but all his on-track incidents I couldn't overlook. Unfortunately, I've also heard a horror story or two (so to speak) about James behind the scenes. Someone told me that he witnessed James (after a bad heat race at the U.S. Open -- 2006 I'm guessing) went so far as to outright deny a 6 or 7-year-old kid an autograph while sitting in a chair totally pissed off. Fortunately for James, that was the time where there was no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. because if he did that today, that'd go viral in a heartbeat.

My guess would be that people refer to "drug" as the "bad stuff that ruins people's lives", but either works for me IMO.
