Crunch goes the cart! I like the fact that you realize when cleaning is no longer an option. I have two gas blowers that the carbs went bad on. Installed new ones and they run better than new!

Question: You have any video's on how to properly ad a voltage reduction for an electric cart? Just picked up a Western electric and it has a stereo in it but no wire going out to power? Figure you would know the best course to do this right.

@@411NOW I don't have a video installing one but that's a great idea for a video. I have a couple electric carts that are getting some upgrades and they would be perfect for this project. In the mean time, when looking for voltage regulators, be sure to make sure they are rated for the maximum voltage of your battery pack and more than what your load is. If you have a 10 am load, get a 15-20 amp output. This should be enough to cover startup current. You want to use the entire battery pack so you have even draining. Some people install them across 2 or 3 batteries and this causes those batteries to drain uneven with the rest of the pack.

Kevin, great video thank you. Just bought a 2007 EZGO and am having the same issues. However it will run fine for 10-15 minutes and then randomly go into these same symptoms... any ideas?

Great video. I have this same engine(EH352CE) in my cart. Fortunately is runs very good. I've had it since 2006 and I'm considering rebuilding it for the hell of it. I'm a professional service manager and know how to rebuild engines. Do you know of any videos that show someone rebuilding one of these?

You can always treat the metal (after corrosion removal) with alodine. It will give the metal that golden color plus corrosion resistance.

That's not very practical for a small outfit like mine. Replacing the carburetor is much more economical.

Question, can too low of motor compression manifest itself as engine shutting off when it warms up a bit? I've got approx. 60 psi in both cylinders of my neighbor's EZGO gas cart, (not sure what year make - but the engine looks just like the one on this video), it doesn't seem to burn oil or smoke, and I just replaced both the ignitor and coil, (plugs still look good), adjusted the valves, replaced the fuel pump, and it's still doing the same thing - shuts off after a few minutes of running it under a load / driving it. Does low engine compression get worse when the motor warms up to normal operating temperature? My hypothesis is, if that's true, the engine compression reduces to the point, then, that it just won't run anymore and shuts off and won't restart till it cools down completely. Any ideas or helps much appreciated. Thanks Kevin. Very good video, by the way!

I have a workhorse st350. Runs good in neutral or in gear jacked up but when im riding it it has no power

I have an ‘07 TXT. Which Carburetor did you go with? OEM or something off of Amazon? Also, is the ‘07 engine a 295?

Replace the fuel filter and pull the carb off and clean it. If its good, do a compression test and adjust the valves.
