2007 Honda Accord folded aftermarket bumper replacement

My daughter who just started driving side swiped the rear bumper of another car, so I thought this would be a great opportunity for her to learn how to fix cars. Here first job was to find a aftermarket bumper. Second was to find a video and this one is great and now we will install the new bumper cover. Thanks for the help!

Great job and video. I bought a used car and it looks like they did a half-assed job in putting a new bumper on. They jammed it in some places and it is popping back out and they lost like half the retainers and left it like that. I am surprised the grill didn't just fall off.

For those having issues with connecting back in the phillip heads screws in the wheel well, cut out a section that can clear the screw but not the screw head. My front bumper screw hole did not align with the other 2 that it needs to be sandwiched in. So I took a razor blade and cut out a section so the screw could clear through and simply pinch the bumper in. Took me a whole day, because I was trying to figure out a different solution instead of cutting. But nothing would work, except that. Remember cut a SMALL section, Just enough so the screw length can get to the hole it needs to.

What am I supposed to do when the holes don't line up? If I line up the 10mm holes then both of the wheel well holes are short by 3/8". If I line up one of the wheel well holes and try to work my way across, none of the other 10mm holes or other wheel well hole lines up. It's not even close. The bumper isn't hung up on anything either, the holes just don't match.

Yes thats how they are shipping these new bumpers. I was also surprised when i got mine. It looks perfect on the car and had no issues so far with any pain chipping away.

@@nazarettos6987 I’ve ordered some but couldn’t get them to work on the emblem attaching it to the bumper. It was actually 2 different size 10mm and 8mm and the plastic screw top ones which did work but the others seem not to hold it in place

It's from BMI auto in Michigan. This is my 3rd bumper from them,they do good job. These bumpers shipped folded so you have have to heat them up.

@@nazarettos6987 that's good to hear bro I'm in somewhat of a project myself converting my 05 accords front bumper for and 06/07 bumper and slapping fogs on there as well since the 03-05 sedan models didn't come with the fog holes
