Alonso was perfect this weekend. Ferrari had no answer for McLaren. Kubica had bad luck with that stop and Button Vs Rosberg was good. Brilliant overtake by Hamilton on Kimi. When overtaking was hard fought, not with DRS and battery

Yes Alonso was Perfect an outstanding drive by him he kept up the pace the whole race he was quicker than Hamilton and he set the fastest lap of the race. Didn’t make any mistakes showed great pace throughout the race. Yes Ferrari had no answer for McLaren McLaren were better in every department they were better over the kerbs better than Ferrari were. Had good balance good traction good grip and good straight line speed and were excellent over the Kerbs more so than Ferrari.

I prefer this era of f1 with differing strategies. A race decided by fuel strategy and not by cruising around in Pirellis in modern day f1.

Hmmm, I remember the refueling days well. Although it allowed drivers to push especially on the Bridgestones, they used to work out or even worse, publish the fuel loads, so you knew when a car was going to pit. If anything it made things more predictable.

McLaren made a big step forward from 2006 quicker more competitive winning races regular podium’s and excellent reliability. In 2006 McLaren did show great pace at times but not often enough but was usually in Qualifying with Kimi.

Massa's retirement was probably a blessing in disguise for Ferrari in that it allowed them to put all their eggs in Kimi's basket. Guess the other thing as well was had both McLaren drivers been DQd with Spygate (as well as the team) then they were in effect battling for the title between themselves as BMW were too far behind so also unfair to favour one Ferrari driver over the other.
