@sweengeppetto1915 totally agree. I rebuild old trucks with nothing but yellow. Just tried s Detroit 14L. It's OK. Cat gaskets harden, I just think this truck sat snd will need overhauled because so much bkow by. Its a sweet truck and all I run is pre 99 for a reason. Ag bulk hauler... I love the wheelbase I can put a pusher on it without having to pay for a frame stretch. We run 7-9 axles and permitted overloads west of Mississippi River to the rockies. Nothing runs like a 98 pete!!!! Never had a W9. I did build 2 T660's and really liked em with c12's.

That is ALOT of blowby for 150K mile C15. Its also an ACERT so it needs a single turbo conversion and looks like an overhaul is coming shortly. If this was Listed at around 100K.... maybe... maybe worth looking at in this market. I believe the miles, ive got not for hire trucks we put 15K miles a year on. My guess is it sat for a lojg while and has some gasket hardening and piston gasket hardening, this truck is impressive but needs 75K worth of work done to it IMHO. Thanks for showing. Thats alot of interior wear, and the fact you had to put on all new rubber just to yo get it road worthy, tells me it sat a long time.... hence so much blow by... and why its for sale. Thats like a gallon of oil a week blowby, mayhe less? Ive seen cats run fine with more blowby, but i cant help but just know this motor is gonna be getting opened up

@sweengeppetto1915 I just would, ive run the acert and when it works its ok, but its going to cost your 7K a year to replace what breaks in a acert or you'll just switch it to a large single the 1st time the VGT turbo goes out and you get a $8,200 just for parts! Acert turbos are notorious. You want a 6NZ on the block vin if y wanna know

@@growthefarmup2606 it never cost me that yet, so I dunno where you guys come up with stuff like this. I've been driving my mxs acert since it was a year old, nearly 20 years ago, got just about 1.6 million miles and over 40000 hours on it and never done any of the things you've mentioned yet, never inframed it yet neither. So I would argue that the acert is a pretty good engine, mine has been anyways. Nothing wrong with the compound turbo setup in my experience.

@sweengeppetto1915 good for you! You are literally the 1st person I've chatted with or met IRL that doesn't want to burn their Acert compound/ variable geometry turbo! I've also had the same luck. Your a 1 owner from New, prob kept real good care, I agree acerts make a ton of boost and if set up right spool up nicely and there supposed to add efficiency etc. But like all parts, turbos go out, an acert is almost 10 grand to repair, a regular large single can be retrofitted for half that and the motor isn't gonna be missing any power becaue it's a C15. Good ole cats, if u take care of em they can go 2+ million miles without needing opened up. If u ever want to sell your truck, look me up! Lol.

First thing you gotta do is a single turbo conversion because it’s an assert and it’s got way too much blow by for that many miles. You need to hook up a computer to the ECM and see if it’s been replaced

You might want to single turbo it, lot of customers we have like accerts. I’ve said multiple times it’s the original ecm and original miles. Vin is on our listing online. Run a carfax. It’s legit .

Mudflaps on truck say Turnkey Industries. They seem to be a custom trailer builder out of Texas. Found a pic of this truck(I think) with Turnkey Industries on the door.

I've got to hold up here on mi ,because of condition of fuel caps and blow by of engine, condition of interior of sleeper ,has it been repainted ,hook a computer up to ecm see if it has been replaced ,

I believe the mileage on this truck 100 percent . For example , there are farm tractors out there that are twenty five years old that have eight hours on them . If you do not believe me check out Machinery Pete .

That’s what keep from buying this truck 100k miles the driver was a pig look at the carpet and that leather on the back wall, with that blow by and the slob bet he never checked his oil and change it either.

@mangopog9814 could be, toy haulers are sometimes driven by amateur truck drivers. What worries me is i think it sat for a long time. Getting a truck that has sat back to road ready is never cheap either... at the asking price you could buy new and be about the same $$$

WARNING!!! Be sure and do a Rig Dig on the vin# it will tell all the history of the truck because I guarantee the ECM has been changed and the actual mileage is wrong, I've seen this a lot lately on older trucks with Cat engines

Way to much upholstery wear on the seat and in the bunk for 154k. Bottom side of the hood is too dirty for 154k. I’ve looked at the pictures online and there ain’t no way that’s a 154k mile tractor. Not calling you a liar but I just don’t think you’ve got your facts straight on that one. The truck I own now has 713k on it and my seat is original and has no where near the wear on it and the rest of my interior is like new almost but then it’s a Western Star so there’s that. Good luck with that one but like they say there’s one born every minute.
