The GS effin' rocks. I love love the GS. Owned a 2001 GS430 - awesome - went 299k miles and still running. Then got a 2008 GS460 - with 4.6L engine, 348hp, now has 216k miles, and she runs like a dream. She's my fave - just well engineered, nice interior and buttons, nice steering wheel and controls. Awesome power with quality and luxury.

BMW looks great but their electrical problems are almost humorous, and Mercedes is prob the least dependable of them all with its electrical and mechanical issues. Only a Lexus can be driven to 300 thousand miles (and I've seen it) they are solid and dependable. Unlike the other 3

You can get a used 2006 for around $20,000 with about 40-50,000 miles. Depending on if it's got the NAV/ML/AWD. those were really expensive options, around $5500 added to the base price. The depreciation is staggering on luxury cars. The GS 350 they describe probably stickered at $55,000.

Test drove this car and the ES350. I preferred the feel of the ES. There's just too much stuff going on taking the driving experience from you. Although the ES is cushy, it was still pretty tight and responsive with good power. And the GS arm rest/center stack needlessly cramps the front passengers. The driving position was just uncomfortable for me. (6'3") But the ES actually had more room, front and back. My next car will either be the ES or an A6.

Sir, the E-Class WAS legendary. Has not been so since 1996 W210 series. Every version since then has suffered from the ill-conceived Chrysler merger and quality control problems, and especially with the new version, trashy, trendy styling. The E-Class has become, like the BMW, a car designed to be leased. They are no longer engineered for life, they will become massive headaches for all subsequent owners spending more time in the shop than on the road.

@Johncarson911314 жыл бұрын
Haha its funny you would make fun of a luxury automaker for its simple similarities through badging. If thats your real problem then your missing the whole point entirely. Yes the Ls600 may sound like the s600 but how does this constitute your point in that "lexus copies mercedes" . If anything the germans are inspired by the Japense luxury design. Take the Infiniti Fx coupe like crossover, BMW copied them and made a X6, the "Ls self park assist", BMW and mercedes now have it too.

Toyotas and Hondas can last forever and are super reliable. I worked with someone who told me his old toyota 4runner made it 600,000kms ! Matt Farah has a Lexus LS with 1,000,000 miles! The 3rd Gen GS is flat out the best looking mid size luxury sedan on the road today, that is not an Opinion it is a FACT. The 5 series is awkward and ill proportioned with a bangle butt trunk. The new E is slashy and hideous, MB is taking styling cues from Hyundai now. The RL is zzzzzz. The Infinity M is too tall, and narrow, the new one is probably even worse. The Audi A6 just looks like a Bloated A4. And yes, the CLS is the best, but that's in a style class of it's own.
