It's all relative. Go shop for a new car and see what it cost for what you get. Corolla is slightly less but not as much of a car. Toyota will undoubtably introduce a new model but it won't be cheaper.
@KNRS927Ай бұрын
@@pi.actual Even relative to Corolla, Elantra, K4, it’s expensive. I guess you have to see this as a Prius competitor as they referenced here more so than a Corolla competitor for it to make sense and in that regard, it might be a little nicer. Thing is though, the new Prius also looks nice, also makes near 200 horsepower, also has a nice interior, and it pioneered and perfected this technology too. Don’t get me wrong civic is a nice car, just tough for me to choose it against a Prius, Camry, or heck even accord when all are available for similar price and offer niceties not available on any civic.
@pi.actualАй бұрын
@@KNRS927 I bought the sedan a month ago and went through the same process. In the end some feature of one of them is going to hook you and you make a decision. That may be styling, price or just how you fit in it. We should just be happy we have so many choices.
@KNRS927Ай бұрын
@@pi.actual Fair enough. I just guess its tough for me seeing a starting 30k Civic now when that's what a Camry and Accord start at, both being a class above.
@pi.actualАй бұрын
@@KNRS927 I looked at everything. If you want top trim level, which is what I wanted,, the Accord or Camry are $6k more. If you don't care about the trim then you make your choice based on what you want. I liked the Civic style and feel, I had no brand loyalty. I bought this to replace my 1991 Alfa Romeo 164S which has been a beautiful car but I can no longer find parts for it.

The omission of rear air vents and rear USB or even a 12v outlet is just silly. A $34k vehicle and what would these things really cost Honda to add? $100 maybe? So kids or adults in the back seat have no charge ports or air vents…..nice.

@@mikeb3216 If that’s your take….cool. But Hyundai and KIA give you rear air vents and charge ports. Heck, even Toyota does. My point was to bring up a big miss (omission) of some comfort features in a $34k vehicle that are missing. Maybe Honda will listen like they did for the 2025 Accord and added rear air vents to all trim levels.
