Hello dear friend, can I ask why you don't change the gearbox oil with the device?
@JoseMartinez-ll3yl5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the video. My additional step in the process is to purge the old ATF that remains inside the transmission (not the reservoir) by using the Outlet hose until I see the new ATF coming out, in sets of "stop-refill-purge-stop-refill" process while keeping a steady amount of the specification level. I schedule to do this every 40K miles using Castrol Transmax High Mileage. Thank you.
@asianmechanicguy64835 жыл бұрын
Yup we can do that process too. But this time we want to change the filter too so the flow of oil inside will become better and cleaner
@JoseMartinez-ll3yl5 жыл бұрын
@@asianmechanicguy6483 Yes, I change the filter too. Maybe I'm overdoing it with the filter? How many miles would you say for the filter and how many miles for only the fluid exchange? My car has about 234,000 miles on original engine and transmission.
@asianmechanicguy64835 жыл бұрын
here in canada we use kilometers i dont know about miles i change the tranny filter 30k-60k kilometers it always depend on ur car manual and mostly i change the filter together with the tranny fluid if the owner agreed its always it depends ..but always check ur owners manual or search it in google
@JoseMartinez-ll3yl5 жыл бұрын
@@asianmechanicguy6483 Thank you. Interestingly, there's no schedule for changing the ATF on my owner's manual. However, Hayne's manual states every 60k miles (100k km?). Regardless, it doesn't specify when to replace the ATF filter. Whenever you are to replace the exhaust system (manifold, cats), please make a video! Thank you.

After I changed the filter and gasket like you did, my car makes a whining noise as soon as I put it into gear and now even in park it whines. I shut it off, I must of done something wrong. Can you think of anything that I may have done wrong? I think I pushed the filter too hard into it's hole. I remembered I snapped it in then I pushed it a bit and I felt it snugged in a little more.

I have a 2007 mazda3 hatchback. Recently it has been having issues with getting speed once I hit 40mph. I believe it is the transmission fluid though. I checked it and the fluid was not red so this video helped me out a lot! But I do have a question… when you shift your car from park to drive or reverse does an electric buzzing sound happen?? Mine does it and has been doing it ever since I got it but have thought nothing about it. But now the buzzing sound lasts longer.

Maganda pa ang kulay ng transmission fluid mo. For my 2009 Mazda 6 2.5 liter engine with FS5A-EL automatic transmission drain and fill is around 2.7 quarts of atf fluid. Transmission flush around 8 to 9 quarts. Salamat sa video mo. pero sa Mazda 6 naka harang ang front crossmember. There is a specific pattern of how which bolts need to be bolted - there is a specific order and they need to be bolted at 7nm not any more otherwise you are risking of tearing the gasket. The order should be in the instructions of the new filter/gasket kit you buy, mine was.
@asianmechanicguy64834 жыл бұрын

cant remember how much fluid i put in this car but you cant put fluid up to the midlle of cold and warm level on tranny dipstick then run it for 5 mins check the dipstick it should be on warm level if not add more fluid
@sendit11589 ай бұрын
YES ITS ENOUGH BECAUSE HE ONLY DRAINED THE PAN WHICH HOLDS ABOUT 4 LITERS, HE ONLY DID A TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE, NOT A FULL FLUSH, WHEN YOU FLUSH IT ALL THE FLUID COMES OUTTA THE LINES AND TRANSMISSION WHICH EQUALS ABOUT 8 LITERS OR WHATEVER THE BOOK CALLS FOR

i cant understand why Mechanics pay is so low in NZ, every other trade hourly rate has gone up heaps, but mechanics even qualified is very low since 1980s, im retired now and was doing wofs , but seems most inspectors only qualified to do wof and not qualified mechanic, since so may people die on roads you would think a good qualified mechanic would be highly paid, average is minimum im guessing 22 per hour, if own business you can get full payment to you of much higher rate and even owner / manager doesnt need qualification, its bulshit because panelbeater has to be qualified, electrician and plumber, but cars kill more every day more than any other way!
