Thanks. Tools needed, two sockets, a 10mm and 12mm, a socket extension, replacement clips, pliers, a flat tip screw driver AND four flat thin wedges to open the clips holding the fan assembly/condenser to radiator. That was great to know. Excellent video.

Thank you so much for making this video. I watched the installation video also and I was successful in changing my radiator because you made it easy to see everything and explained as you went. I appreciate you so much and keep doing what you love!

Can you remove the fan assembly together with the radiator ?
@mahmoudabourkis1766 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the details, very clear and straight forward. much appreciated. question though, if changing the radiator, isn't better ( or easier) to not worry about the painfull clips and just break them? they are part of the rad. and i'm assuming the new one will have new clips. also, can the fan assembly come out with the radiator then worry about it once the rad is out?

just did this myself, had a look at your video first to make sure this would be easy for an I.T guy and it was EASY, Thanks great video. I found you don't have to take off the fan housing, it's easier if you pop the clips for the compressor and slightly pull compressor rad up so it clears the clips slightly then do the other side, jam a screw drive in the top clips, reach down and push the bottom clips with your thumbs like you would grip a hammer or baseball bat. once you've done both sides you can pull the rad and fan housing out entirely, then separate them outside the car.

Well done mate. I replaced my 2011 outlander’s radiator, all the process is straightforward except the removing the fan/condenser from the old radiator, as the four clips are bit tricky to release the fan/condenser. I had to cut the clips to release the fan/condenser, when I install the fan/condenser, it is also tricky to put them back.

For anyone new watching the radiator fan is in the center so everything else clips into the it...the radiator and A/C condensor so sadly u cant just pull out everything without disconnecting all your lines. So if u want to pukk out everything youll have to regas A/C for sure...best to just try to seperate radiator from the rest.

I am curious as to why when you had the radiator and the fan both unsecured why did you not just remove it in one said piece and then remove the fan after you've taken it off or out of the vehicle and then replacing the fan on the new radiator and place it back in place just a question
@asianmechanicguy64832 жыл бұрын
radiator hoses are hard to remove without removing the fan first
@efendeymz13 жыл бұрын
Bro you should dismantle the sport light first and it will be easy for you access the lower radiator hose.

@asianmechanicguy64833 жыл бұрын
sorry not sure watch the video few times you might find the answer of ur question
@juniorg27782 жыл бұрын
So of your moves on one side then it fell out on the holding hold on the bottom it's easy to pick it up and set it back in with out taking it away
@rosesauce97652 жыл бұрын
Yes it's a built-in spec on the vehicle that it allows for a small front end collision without cracking your radiator when it's able to move a little and absorb some of the shock rather than being instead fast place and having no recoil movement
