This video will help with the replacement of the plastic part that breaks and the sunroof wont close. The part can be ordered from The Sunroof Doctor. The information is enclosed at the end of the video.
I used a new cheapo video camera I bought off ebay, may to a product review on it.

Thanks for the video I just got quoted from my ford dealer. $7898.00 to replace both tracks. Labor was only $395. I think I'm going to do it myself.

2011 Edge sunroof isn't closing all the way. I tried the calibration step and it still didn't close. Also, it takes at least twice as long to close as to open. Ideas?

Great video, I watched others and this one made it all make sense. I am doing this right now as I type this message. Any chance you can talk about the weather stripping that attaches to the track? No one mentions it and I am frustrated trying to get it back on.

So I cant get my aunroof open or closed.. its ooppes just enough for me to get soaked if it rains or i go thru carwash. How do you suggest I get to wiring, broken whatever and motor if necessary?

What is the part number, for the plastic bracket that obviously breaks?

I'm dreading doing this also. It was stuck open and one of the plastic pieces broke. I got it to close and put duct tape over top of the sunroof switches so no one would use it. lol. it's that time though

How did you close it all the way? Mine will not sit down all the way... I can move the glass but the back stays up a bit

First open the sunroof about a quarter of the way, then have someone stand behind the truck with a 2x4 or a piece of wood thats strong enough and long enough to reach the back of the sunroof, then have that person push the back of the sunroof glass towards the front of the car with just enough force that when you press the button to close it, it moves with it and PLEASE press the button a second at a time that both you and the person pushing it are moving at the same time and ones is close to closing, it should latch to the glass and bring it to close completely. Just make sure that wood you're using doesn't jam the glass, as is glass and may break when it closes. Good luck and hope this helps.

great video explanation, but why would you not spend 20$ on Amazon for a cell phone tripod so you have two hands and stabilization for viewing video. I had to turn off half way throuigh.
