NOT being able to find any useful video
about this repair.

steps needed and how to to fix this

It is NOT a hard job really.
No special tools needed.
Only few tools needed
You will need about 3 hours minimum of
your time. But it's recommended you give
yourself a full day to do this!

excellent video - took forever to find it on YT. What sucks is that part now runs 35-40$ on Amazon. I paid a little more than you. I also have the small funky grey plastic part on the rear rail guide that broke. (You showed it early on when going over what is broken) Had to buy the whole rail guide for the plastic part). I even checked 3D printing, but very costly that way. Anyway, thank you again for the nice detailed video. I took my roof out a few months ago. That's why I'm happy to have found your video.

You saved a lot of money doing that yourself,a wise man once told me,sweat comes easier than money,they make things cheap these days just so you will take it to the shop,or get a new car,you might have to look at some junk yars to find that part,someone has to have it,I don't really use my sunroof,I probably should just to keep it working.

Looks like the posts/metal knobs on the glass just popped out of the grooves on the sliders. Nothing looks broken and everything mechanical still works. Is that the problem everyone else is having?

The reason they use plastic is because metal to metal contact will wear the surfaces pretty quickly.....Engine timing chain slides as well

They use plastic because it is cheaper,that is why grease is used to lube the tracks when you get the good metal part.

Sooo, my wife said her sunroof was stuck. I went out there armed for bear. Left sideswitch: TILT! . Right side switch: OPEN! Reset it after a battery boost/boil and some WD-40 and the sunroof worked. She forgot the right side switch opens it and the left side tilts for air and, well, I love my wife. 😂

I avoid any sunroof cars. Or convertibles. Only trouble comes out of those things

The car I have now is the only one I ever had with a sun roof,I never thought about it being bad until the hail started falling,so far so good but I do think,it might get busted.

Hello Gil, did you ever end up finding the driver's side glass clip slider that you needed? I did some searching around online and it seems like it can be acquired from your local dealer or several Ford Parts Retailers online under the part number 7T4Z-78502M79-A. It seems to come with all the hardware too that you will need to install it.
