I just started getting a tcm code but I replaced it a year ago do you think if I reset the car it can fix ? It was working fine yesterday I parked and came inside then when I went to turn it on this morning the gauges were jumping and cardidnt kick over so I put the scanner on and it says p0700 tcm what are your thoughts?

I have an 07 Sebring. Is it safe to swap the PCM out with a refurbished PCM that has been programmed with my vin number or is there a possibility that my car won’t start?

One you change computer u need to change key and ignition switch also and program the key

No, you just program the new PCM. Unless there is also issues with the immobilizer module, doent not need tp be replaced.

How do you know if the used PCM is compatible? I put one in and programmed it but it throws code for air pump because i dont have one on my model?

Long shot but I replaced my computer in a 2010 Dodge Avenger. My old computer gave me all kinds of codes but the new computer works great. Only issue. I have zero throttle response. Once I start the car the gas peddle does nothing. If I plug the old cpu back in, the car runs rough of course but I can get it to rev and drive. Sooo, is this a cpu issue? Or is there a throttle learning procedure?

Throttle learn. Key forward slowly depress accelerator and slowly release. Remove key and wait for the car to completely shut down and then start up.

Chrysler built both the Sebring and avenger, the avenger replaced the Sebring in 2007.

These are called PCM's meaning the ECM and TCM are built into the same unit.
