If this car didn't have such bad reviews on transmission problems I would consider this car. It's so nice! And I hear it is a perfect year-round 2008-2012 has, in my opinion, the best body styling, I don't really care for the newly re-designed Ford Escape.

I have got Two Ford Escapes since 2012, they are long lasting, no problem, as long as you make sure all the maintenance really done on time. The extended warranty is really a waste of money, as least to my family.

What was so cheesy? All I heard was detailed information with a persuasive attitude. I will be buying a 2009/2010 Ford Escape now. I love the design of the 2001 to 2007 Escape and used to think the 2008-2010 was too "bulky and unattractive." But the lack of an upgraded stereo and engine in the 2005-2007 models turned me off completely.

just bought our 2010 sitting out beside our 2008 which replaced our 2004. we love the escapes, mind you we are a very ford biased family having said that i dont like my mothers 2015, its an alright car but a terrible escape. but 2012 and older id recommend to anybody

"...an Escape with this engine may fee underpowered...," ..."Ride is maybe a little too firm for rough pavement." Those are two negatives - also, we're still trying to figure out why the Ford Motor Company would want to pay for the sale of used cars, cars they have no financial stake in. This review only covers the 2008 -2010 Escape.

My 2009 Ford Escape is trash. Seems to always have something going wrong with it. In most cases it's the way Ford made the car. They put the wrong size front wheel bearing in a lot of their cars. The capless gas tank was a horrible design. The purge valve, the steering column,or angle sensor, and the throttle body. This has got to be the worst mechanical issue car that I have ever owned.
