Very cool and all, however what is going to keep the cable from damaging the paint/clear-coat? I the cable coated with something to prevent that or no?

i just got a 2014 challenger r/t shaker, and i dont want to drill in the hood. this is perfect for me. and AM does dodge now? nice.

My hood is all scratched up because the clearcoat from the cable was gone, now I have scratches everywhere on the edge of my hood. sucks

Unfortunately they do, the cable rusts

It’s best to not use the cables and just do the pins. Definitely going to scratch some paint up.

How do you remove the 3m double tape pin hood

A heat gun or hair dryer to warm up the tape, fishing line to cut through it, and then goo-gone or adhesive remover to get the remaining gunk off of your paint. Hope this helps! -Zach
