2008 Buell XB12SCG Fork Seals

My xb is an 07. Service manual for my year states to fill tubes to 107mm from top of outer tube. The diagram only shows one tube... which looks like the inner tube, but it is marked as the outer tube in the description... the SM does not mention anything about adding length for the difference as you talk about... so I'm wondering if you made a mistake and are unintentionally underfilling? I went by your video... reviewed the service manual, realized there was a discrepancy... took my forks back apart and added over an ounce to each fork. I'd understand if you were underfilling a few CCs.... but it is well over an ounce... I'd really appreciate a reply. Thanks!

Can one remove the damper rod? What is the process in doing so?

JTC Intl you just need to remove the bolt on the bottom of the fork to remove the damper rod

Cole Houser @8:36 the blue rod sticking out of the lower/inner fork is the damper rod, yes?

JTC Intl yes, once the fork is disassembled like in the video, the single bolt on the bottom of the fork removes the blue damper rod. Once you do that, there is nothing left inside the fork.

EBR Buell depends on year and model. Best to check the service manual. Digital copies can be found at buellmods.com

hello, my own is a xb12 scg 2009 low forks ..... like those in the video. can you tell how much oil enters each stem? ?

Ok, if you looked in the service manual, it would have told you 4.29" or 109mm from the top of the fork is the proper oil level. It comes out to almost a quart total for both sides.
