This one is important too. I think the obd2 port is on the same circuit.

I have this exact model Escalade! Love it so much. My AC fan button is even worn out the same way as yours haha. Is there a way to make the cigarette lighter turn off when the car turns off?
@Livingandcooking Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! But you have to get it re-wired to do that. It’s not extremely hard to do, but that’s the only way. It’s currently wired for 12v all the time. It would need to be moved over to a circuit that is a “switched” circuit. One controlled by the key

I’ve got a 2009 Escalade and the length of your video is so un-necessary. If your going to make a video, make sure you buy or have the exact same part your replacing. Because you may use that for your phone, which you already blew the 20 amp fuse not knowing that same 20 amp fuse you replaced with a 10 amp powers your OBD2 in your Escalade. So I’d recommend using the cigarette lighter behind your center console to charge your phone. And in your house if you feel it’s ok to plug a 110 lamp into a 220 outlet that’s your decision…but next time spend the $5 bucks on a pack of 20 amp fuses, no actually spend $10 bucks and get the Glow fuses and replace a 20 amp fuse with another 20 amp fuse ok

Interesting opinion. I clearly explained what and why I did what I did in the video . I clearly explain the correct fuse was going to go in there. Not sure what you’re talking about. I also know exactly why the fuse blew. It was not from my phone. I’ve done installation for many years. I knew what I could do “temporarily” do.

Just replaced that very same fuse on a 2007ES caddy. The fuse position is 53 with 20amp. Blew it with that old reliable Walmeasy(Walmart ) bike air plump that I use to put air in my grandson’s soccer and basketballs😂!
