best emo eras of the 2000's in my opinion: 2008, 2012, 2014 when rawr xd was still a thing, hot topic felt more hot topic, wattpad was home to all the emo love stories, stripes were on everything and there was a weird obsession with gir, pikachu, and stitch.

SO basically Avril Lavigne when she first started out? Or Tumblr-esque soft grunge. Nothing wrong with the new "scene" look but it's become something kinda far from scene look of the early 2000's. I think the only people who still spike their hair now a days are punks and goths, respectively.

sky rider, yeah I started out thinking the “emo quartet” was the epitome of emo bands. I got into it and found out that they were pretty far out. I listen to more rock, it may not be particularly emo but I still go with the emo style since I enjoy it.

I hate the new age emo like the new age emo's listen to the same music and stuff but I feel like it's not the 2008 emo style like I was born in 2007 so I really didn't get to see people like that at all except maybe hot topic I just love the 2008 emos like the haircut is Soo iconic and unique which I wish it came back. I feel like the new age emo kids dress in more of a e-girl's style and only listen to MCR,FOB,and P!ATD or they either dress kinda goth with emo and wear Kandi bracelets and do the same make up u did but they don't have the iconic haircut which is sad. I think it's mostly cuz either their parents don't allow them to or they don't like it. I cut my hair without asking my parents and.i pierced my own lip and they weren't very happy but they got used to it I want 2008 emo to come back
