On mine, I have changed the evaporator and the heater core and the blend door motors, and the accumulator and the line with the orifice tube. That didn’t fix it. Then I change the condenser. Now I will be changing the lines on top of the compressor and the compressor most likely. I recently found that it has been leaking either on the lines by the compressor or coming out of the compressor at the front by the belt. I don’t know which yet because there’s dye everywhere that I somehow missed when looking for leaks earlier.

I would also guess the compressor front seal. Sometimes it makes you work way to hard to find it. Good luck with the repairs.

Normally you will need to have a recovery tank and pump.

My 2006 f150 ac blows cold and then all of the sudden stops blowing cold, seems like the compressor kicks on and off you think it should be replaced?

Several things can cause it to stop blowing cold. Low refrigerant would be a suspect. But you would need a mechanic to look at it to get a proper diagnosis.

I can spin my compressor with one finger, so I assume the compressor is about shot. No wonder it isn't cooling like it should. I can do the compressor swap, not sure how to refill system afterwards though. I wish someone showed how to fill A ''drained'' system after A campressor install.

I will do a video on that. I never pulled a vacuum on this system. I was able to fill it with the proper amount of oil and add the refrigerant a can at a time till it was in the right PSI range. Its worked great all summer.

@@BigBlock402 I don't have any way to pull vacuum either. I don't have those expensive manifold gauges or vacuum pumps, that's why I was curious of filling A empty system using cans only. I do appreciate you making these videos showing us how to do things.
