For the people who think this is a tough job it’s not, you do not have to remove the air box or the black box he said you have to man handle. Remove the inner fender, unplug the cap on #7 & #5. Insert 10mm deep with a 1-1.5 inch extension now follow with a 3/8 swivel to a 6inch extension to your ratchet. Insert magnet and pull out. Same steps going in. 20 minute job max for you experienced guys!

#5 is kind of tricky. I use a 😅3/8 deep well 10 mm socket, 1 1/2" 3/8 ext., and then a 1/4 -3/8 adapter with a 1/4" rachet. Had to set the socket/ ext, and adapter onto the glowplug first and then the small rachet, once loosened, I then removed rachet and adapter and unscrewed by hand

But with direct injection the glow plugs are actually used for compression constantly. No longer just for starting

I’m replacing number 4 in the morning. Dumb question but do I need to remove all the seals / caps and or harness to get number 4 out?

Sorry so late in responding to this, and I'm guessing you are way past done with your project, but I suspect you only had to remove enough to get things out of the way enough to get your tools in there. Thank you for the question, and let us know how yours turned out.

It's a heating element so if it's burned out one would expect 0 or no continuity!

I do not. It's an expensive piece of plastic. You could probably make one out of thin wall pvc if you wanted.

Isn't cylinder 5 on the passenger side?

Correct. My reverse camera angle makes it look like I'm referring to drivers side.
