Awesome instructions for someone like me who hasn't messed with engines sense I was a kid. This video was very helpful.

Well that doesn't look like Ford coolant. With the extra additive. To help deal with the tremendous amount of cavitation ?

Thanks man for the info. I go into the regen process after I change the oil. Even though I haven’t driven it more 300 miles. And the only thing I can think of is that the engine is NOT warming up and NOT running at proper temp from jump, like any other vehicle. 6 mins tops and any other car or truck with the exception of diesel , not sure But with my truck NO. Even when I’m running around town. It wasn’t like that at the beginning. That’s the only thing I can think of.

And just how do you know those notches line up?

Would one bad thermostat cause it to overheat only under load?
@aadiversified5541 Жыл бұрын
I would say it's possible. If you're overheating under load, I would check to be sure the high speed cooling fan is coming on. When the regular cooling of the fan isn't enough, the high speed cooling fan should be coming on. It's pretty loud when it does.

How tf did you get the thermostats in
@aadiversified55412 жыл бұрын
I apologize for not capturing that as well as I should have. You have to basically compress the springs of the thermostats enough to get them under their "keepers".

I thought thermostats were optional in the south?
@aadiversified55412 жыл бұрын
yes, but these diesels like their heat and rpm's. lol

How long does it take for the engine to warm up. Normally. Mins. And do I have to wait for an error code to be displayed before I replace it. My engine takes too long to warm up and I’m constantly going into regen mode. Would appreciate some feedback

That emission equipment will kill a good engine. Go ahead and replace those thermostats.
@johnuribe769510 ай бұрын
Thanks man. But why hasn’t given me an error code, I know the thermostats are bad because the truck takes too long to warm up at least a half hour of driving it. I’m just bewildered about the error codes. Thanks for the info I appreciate it.
@aadiversified554110 ай бұрын
Not sure why a code isn't showing up. It may eventually if it continues to worsen.

Mine is doing the same thing. I got no codes but when its below 30 I get no heat at all. My high speed fan will kick on sometimes when I first crank it up too. Im going to tackle the thermostats tonight. I hope it fixes it. The truck has never got to normal temp even in the summer but Ive had no issues exceot the heat not working when its real cold here in Georgia.
