You will need a press or on the car kit to replace this bearing or just follow these steps to take knuckle off and take to your local machine shop and save money.

I've checked into the price there's 2 different types you can buy a wheel hub bearing kit around $70 at most local auto parts or a loaded one which comes attached to the steering knuckle around 280 my wife has a 08 merc mariner headache

If you don't buy a loaded one you will need either a press or a machine shop to press it in for you, our machine shop prob charges around $30-60 to press in a wheel bearing roughly so it all depends on how much you want to do yourself or what you are capable of

@@HooptiesGarage same pricing at a machine shop I'm wondering how many hours in a shop am I looking at without a loaded one I've not got the space to work on it and after watching your video I am not sure if I'm able to do it myself my tools are very limited

You can get a knuckle assembly on rock auto for under $100

I saw you using a metal hammer to get the rotor removed. Would a rubber mallet be a safe alternative to prevent damage when reusing the rotor?
@HooptiesGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yes if you are going to reuse the rotor definitely don't use a metal hammer .

I just had mine done for just under $500 a couple weeks ago. Now I am watching the vid to see if it was worth it.
