'08 Bullitt outa the S.W. wrecked twice, salvaged, just enough to sell... to me (a brave, and or horribly stupid move, lotsa haggling) 1000 miles away. It arrived... it started and drove. It shook and shimmied like, like it had been wrecked twice. But the mill ran nice and no issues in the driveline, so it appeared. Ended up with a 34 item to do list. 16 of them were fuses WOOT! California salvage yards to the rescue hehe. The rest were easy to deal with, tires, HVAC actuators etc. I replaced most of the suspension on jack stands with an O'Reilly lended spring compressor kit (zip zip, shake in utter ball shrinking fear of death stuff right there). All Ford racing and BMR stuff, track, not drag oriented. It was no longer... all green so I shocked it with a carbon black murdered spray. Not much to take off and mask a Bullitt. It still shook at 45 mph... I replaced the 100+ lb driveshaft with a Ford racing 26 lbs aluminium shaft. That basically gave me a whole new car., tossed the old yoke and the two piece in the trash. Once I replaced the shaft, I drove off in a brand new car, ZERO vibration... s197 two piece shafts are planned obsolescence. It was all driveshaft, and dropping 100 lbs. Rednek math tells me that'd be 8-10 hp, and it's in the rotation mass too boot! Take that and that 3.73 gear gave me a noticeable improvement. Whilst the suspension is now as stiff as a 1978 F250 4x4, on a corduroy road... the rest, hell it's all lateral, there is no body roll, just lateral gees... sweetness! I only got four $digits into it and I drive it just like we all drove old mustangs: Like they are stolen. Dirt roads, chirping 2 gears most of the time, and listening to "Green grass and high tides." In my own General Sherman... Hehe, seriously, Bullitts have enough junk to put a smile on your face and make some offspring rich in the future. Not mine but most. See ya later space cowboy. (Brought to you by Stolichnaya medication and some minor outpatient surgery.) I refuse to edit, so forgive me. BULLITT FTW

So the 3:73, CAI, X pipe(idk if it’s much different than the GT H pipe power wise), and UDPs get you 4.8s 0-60. I have a GT with the stock H pipe, JLT cai, 3:55, and haven’t got my UDPs in yet and haven’t got below 5. I gotta take some advice from this bullitt😂 those things are quicker than I thought

@@SageXteriorCleaning underdrive pullies. Basically ford makes your crankshaft pulley larger from factory go ensure a good flow is fluids and ac works nicely but this robs power. Underprice pullies are a smaller crank pulley and larger water pump pulley. The change is small enough to not effect engine cooling but big enough to free up to 10hp(according to forums)

@@captaincobra4578 OHHH i didnt get the accronym. Ya i was wondering about doing pulleys on mine cuz ive heard some great things. So how hard is it do diy the pulleys?
@captaincobra4578 Жыл бұрын
@@SageXteriorCleaning I think it’s in the easier side of things but I don’t have the tools. You need a torque wrench and what’s called a 3 prong pulley puller, which you can rent from autozone but I don’t care enough to do so. You take off the old pullies, use the included bolt to LINE THEM UP, DO NOT TORQUE THIS BOLT. The included bolt will snap off, so once you align it you take the bolt back out and use the actual crank bolt. The other pullies are the same as any pulled replacement

You can automatically tell she's a bullet by the 6,500 redline... The regular GT variants had a 6,250 k redline. The 3 valve is a strong engine with the right tune & parts.
