This is part 2 of 3 videos. Fuse 15 (10A) is the one you want in the Smart Junction Box under dash for Calibration. (Fuse 15 is for HVAC module). All same Ford part numbers - 19E616 Note: Watch Part 3 video..

Thank you very much, I calibrated both actuators successfully after removing both fuses number 15 and 37 in the fuses box under the steering, and both worked very well, 👍😊

All of the number 15 and 37 fuses?

Thank you for sharing how you got the teeth to line up. That was where I was stuck.

Your model has "manual controls". At 4:19 in video 2 of 3 you mention a right hand. Your vehicle does not have a "right hand", it has a recirculation actuator behind the glove box. Take a look at your same video at time stamp 4:43, look in the lower left corner, there is a white nub sticking out of the black box, if you have dual climate control, the passenger right hand blend valve would be there. Also be warned there is a similar valve located higher above the gas pedal that is a mode select actuator that breaks similarly.

Just thought I'd let other people know that your comment is 100% accurate. If you have manual controls (and obviously single zone controls) you will ONLY have the white blend actuator that he replaced in this video (on the driver's side). The white one on the passenger side is a recirculation actuator.

Also, the 2nd blend door above the gas pedal is a slightly different part number. The bolt hole locations are a little different.

one behind the glove box is recirculation/fresh air there is also one for the different settings floor defrost ectopic. it is further above the original I don't know this info was commented yet. I think left and right pertain to dual climate. my motor was working but when you opened it and I saw the broken tooth wow... auto parts 25 bucks lifetime warranty..

Can you tell me what actuator runs the defrost. All my functions work on 2008 Sable but the defrost stopped working
@murlecampbell83607 жыл бұрын
There seems to be 2 Temperature blend door actuators. One is a L/H one located DIRECTLY above gas pedal, and a R/H one that is behind the glove box door BUT NOT THE ONE DIRECTLY BEHIND IT, THE ONE TO THE LEFT. (Look left after opening glove box door).

I saw that one but it has a plastic cover over it and its not easy to get off. Seems like the dash would have to be removed to get to that. Not sure I want to tackle a job like that. Guess it will have to go to the shop unless you know of a fairly easy way to get to it. I can get to the bottom screw but the top one is hidden plus I can't get to the plug. Is the dash hard to get open enough to get to that part or would you recommend letting a shop do that? Trying to save a little money if possible but not trying to mess anything up either.

@@troypaylor9355 , did you have any luck getting to that actuator? I'm having the same issue and need to replace it but it's super hard to access.

@@melaniehudzinski4185 Hello. I did get it fixed. I took it to a shop and they were able to do it. I just don't recall the cost. We sold the car earlier this year so I don't have it anymore.

@@troypaylor9355 oh ok gotcha. Yea I'm thinking I might have to have a shop do it too. Hoping it's not too expensive. Thanks

Murle, thanks for the video. I was able to replace the actuator and stop the clicking noise. Now I have a new issue. The heat works on the driver side but blows cold air on the passenger side. I have done the calibration twice and still no luck. Any idea what would cause that or how to fix it? The weather is changing and need heat on both sides of the car. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Temperature Blend Door Position The temperature blend door actuator moves the temperature blend door on command from the HVAC module. The temperature blend door actuator contains a reversible electric motor and a potentiometer. The potentiometer circuit consists of a 5-volt reference signal connected to one end of a variable resistor, and a signal ground connected to the other. A signal circuit is connected to a contact wiper, which is driven along the variable resistor by the actuator shaft. The signal to the HVAC module from the contact wiper indicates the position of the temperature blend door. The HVAC module powers the actuator motor to move the temperature blend door to the desired position. The desired position is set by the vehicle occupants using the temperature selector knob. The temperature blend door actuator is located on the heater core and evaporator core housing. Airflow Mode Door Position The airflow mode door actuator uses a cam and lever assembly to position the airflow mode doors on command from the HVAC module. The mode door actuator contains a reversible electric motor and potentiometer. The potentiometer allows the HVAC module to monitor the position of the airflow mode doors. The potentiometer circuit consists of a 5-volt reference signal connected to one end of a variable resistor, and a signal ground connected to the other. A signal circuit is connected to a contact wiper, which is driven along the variable resistor by the actuator shaft. The signal to the HVAC module from the contact wiper indicates the position of the airflow mode doors. The HVAC module powers the actuator motor to move the airflow mode doors to the desired position. The desired position is set by the vehicle occupants using the mode selector buttons. The airflow (defrost/panel/floor) mode door actuator is located on the heater core and evaporator core housing to the right of the steering column. Air Inlet Mode Door Position The air inlet mode door actuator moves the air inlet door between the fresh and RECIRC positions on command from the HVAC module. The air inlet mode door actuator is driven to, and will automatically stop at, the full RECIRC or full fresh air inlet position and does not require a potentiometer circuit to monitor its position. The air inlet mode door does not stop at any point between the RECIRC or fresh air inlet position. The air inlet mode door actuator is located on the air inlet duct behind the glove compartment.

I have the same issue. I replaced the actuator directly behind the glove box and it fixed the clicking noise. But when set to heat it only blows hot on the drivers side and def not as hot on passengers side. I'm pretty sure it's the actuator that is to the left of this one behind the glove box. I am having trouble getting to it to replace it though.

Temperature blend door is binding or stuck
@troypaylor93557 жыл бұрын
So is there a way to determine which one it is and a way to fix it? I tried adjusting the temperature to the lowest and highest levels and still only cold air blows on the passenger side. Even the defrost is the same thing. Tried it and the driver side blows warm air and the passenger side blows cold. So the whole right side of the car is not heating up. Trying to determine if this is something that I can do before taking it to a mechanic. I definitely appreciate the information you have provided so far. Thanks.

The name of that actuator is the Recirculation Door Actuator. At least that is what I saw from looking at a diagram. The passenger blend door actuator is to the left of the other one inside the glove box behind the wiring harness. Which of course covers most of the blend door. Any chance you can tell me the best way to get to that?
@pastorrojastx7 жыл бұрын
Don't know if you ever figured this out, but you can actually pull the side walls of the glove compartment in and the glove compartment will come out and hang off, which gives you clear access to the pass. side actuator.
