We have this model, love it!! Pulls a horse float no problems, we love our Hummer and its so so smooth to drive. We put 20" rims on it though but still very smooth. Its quiet inside too. Have had it nearly 5yrs now.

Finally someone who appreciates the I-5. People who call them “underpowered” simply don’t understand the poor aerodynamics of the H3. The H3 has one of the worst drag coefficients of any vehicle made. * Urban myth: I5 H3s are underpowered.*
@CarGuy51415 жыл бұрын
Its the gearing that makes it "quick" off the line btw... That engine with a 6000lb AWD vehicle has no power, the only reason it budges is the 4.56s in the rear end. Also that is most certainly not a locking differential, it locks the transmission in 4lo/4hi, a locking differential shows the driveshaft with an x where the diff would be.

I'm glad he addressed the ride quality and acceleration. Before I bought mine, I was a sports car guy. I got this because sports cars don't do well in blizzards and heavy snow. I fell in love. During winter it cut through heavy snow like nothing. The ride was cushy and nice, acceleration was good for a vehicle that size. I love the styling. I do wish the interior had more soft surfaces, dual climate control, rear middle armrest, rear USB ports, and rear seat recline.....most of this possible after market, but I wish it was standard. I've seen videos with guys (blanking) on these things,....and I'm wondering what they're comparing it to in their head. I'm guessing SUV's with 300 to 400+ Hp that accelerate like cars and sports cars.

That transmission has the second gear which has been eliminated in so many automatic transmission in recent years. I feel so secure downshifting when driving down hill in my old Dakota. I don't understand why they did that. It saves on brakes. And forget about what they say in the manual that the computer does the job for you. My wife has a 2010 Fusion with PRND1 and I can't feel the transmission shifting second gear when driving down the Berkshires.

H2 > H3 H3 just doesnt make sense especially this I5 engine. Hummers are meant to be massive, bulky, and strong v8s. The H3 doesnt do justice to a true Hummer. ElCid48 Eh, not really I'm just making a joke about how GM vehicles have bad reliability
@ElCid4810 жыл бұрын
sherif elsharkawy It depends on the owner and the care he gives his vehicle. I had an '72 Firebird that lasted me for 11 years until some asshole with no insurance rear-ended it. And then I bought an '83 Camaro that lasted me 14 years and 120.000+miles. Now I have a '98 Dakota and still running strong. If you live in the rust belt and don't wash the undercarriage in the Spring you'll end up with a rust bucket no matter what.

You're way overly too positive about this car. The ONLY thing it's good for is 1. looking cool. 2 driving through deep snow. 3 mild offroading yes, the 5cyl engine has 'decent' torque downlow and from the get-go, but that's NOT from the engine, it's from the transmission's gearing. the car is a slow piece of shit at anything faster than 30mph. visibility is atrocious (massive deadzones in field of vision EVERYWHERE at ALL ANGLES) interior is rubbish (full of giant plastic fascias that could've been used for extra storage are just used for the sake of 'cool plastic shapes' interior has no room whatsoever the ride is harsh as hell, uncomfortable. i admit, the large tires help it a bit when driving over things like dirt but other than that, the ride is quite rough for such a giant SUV. coolant system problems
