Got the same set up a month ago on my 2006 M45s , but on mine i did also the secondary cat delete and was satisfied with the results on how the car sounds. pretty damn loud and it crackles , x pipe did help alot making it smooth and not much of that raspy noise. some what drone but no biggy .

I’ve been thinking about doing some muffler work to my 04 Lincoln Town car 4.6 modular v8, I’m just not sure how much it might be to put some 12in glass packs on it, I’d probably not have them welded so I can replace stock mufflers when I want (I live in Cali and cops love to ticket) so how much do you guys think that would cost at a decent shop?

Im wanting to put test pipes in my G35, then run a magnaflow glasspack where the stock resonator is and keep the stock muffler. Im just worried it'll cause it to sound to raspy. I'd need a tune though, car already runs lean due to my intake mods. It'll definitely trip a code if I have no cats. But if I put some non fouled extensions on the test pipes it aught to fix that issue. Would still need the tune though. So might just get the glasspack instead. I don't like that ricey fart can sound. I like the way the stock exhaust sounds. Just would like it to be a little louder. With these VQ engines it's hard to find that sweet spot. There's a lot of G35s and 350Zs that sound like shit. When you get test pipes it often makes the car sound worse sometimes. It just depends. I had a 300zxTT that had dual glasspacks where the mufflers were and it sounded great. Also had a 3rd gen Maxima SE that had aftermarket y pipe, hi flow cats, and an injen catback exhaust with racing mufflers that was the loudest car I've ever had. Thing was so loud, there is a thing as having a car that is too loud. It surprisingly didn't sound like shit, just was obnoxiously loud. I was young and didn't care. Sure I pissed a lot of ppl off with that car. Also had an 02 Z28 with hi flow cats and glass packs it sounded perfect. It's harder to get a V6 to sound mean like that, but the 300zx sure sounded great. Had a lot of ppl ask if it had a V8 swap. It was all in the tune how it sounded at idle that made the difference. I can't stand a loud fart can exhaust though.

Ihuuba Those 4 barrel tips are factory tips for Inifiniti M, you've seen em. The muffler shop said they ONLY installed the X pipe. The owner was perfecting his phase 1 sound. Don't hate, Celebrate! ✌️ & ❤️

@@Mike-og3xb 108,000 and going strong. Not a single thing wrong with it one thing I did learn real quick though. Is yes they burn oil but as long as you keep the level high your good for 200,000 plus. Research the vk45de engine. Its actually a detuned race engine Nissan used in there race cars.

The G35 HR sedan 07-08 and G37 is quicker than a M45. In talking from experience now if you need more room and have to have a V8 sound then go for it

Fred JAmes Q50 3.0t the red Sport wasn't really worth the extra to me but could be for you. Better final drive which can be swapped over and about100 extra hp which I can get from a tune(JB4). Redsport does have diamond stitching and a few other pretty things. They use the same turbos an extra oil cooler or something. The new Z is coming with the same VR30DDTT so you might wanna wait they've taken fooorever though.
