2008 Mazda RX-8 40th Anniversary review - Rev Monster on a Mountain Road

Driving the Mazda RX-8 on a twisty mountain road has turned me from someone who appreciated these cars from a distance and thought they were pretty cool to someone who now frantically scours the classifieds in search of the perfect one. It's so good that one proper drive in one is enough to get you hooked. And it's not just the Wankel engine that revs to over 9,000 rpm, but it's also the chassis balance and how everything comes together to make you feel really connected and confident. What a machine!

Congratz for the video Andrei! Your face tells everting, .... the joy and excitement while in the driver seat will make your day .....everyday. If you like to drive, it is almost impossible not to like driving it. The RX8's soul was created for the driver feelings of happiness and joy. Very few cars reach this level of satisfaction while driving enthusiastic.

Your steering sharpness comes from the electric steering rack, double A-arm from suspension. Great cars. Im surprised it handled as great as you described. The tires looked a tad small and a very narrow off-set. Sitting a tad too high. Fun video to watch though.

It’s not an OEM screen, it just fits into the space for the original display.

Hi Richard. Its an Arduino implemented in the stock NAV place. I decently recommend one if you drive the car hard/track to see how is the cooling and oil pressure is.

OZ Ultraleggeras for the RX8 are great. One of the only wheels actually a good bit lighter than stock, plus a classic great looking great quality wheel. Rotaryy powwwweeeer!!!! Also the Pettit Racing exhaust for the RX8 is the best as well! (Made by Milltek)

There are a few upgrades i would recommend for the RX8 and yes the OZ wheels you can feel the difference its 10 Kg lighter than stock on all 4 wheels.

Well, this car isn't a daily, so the noise level isn't that important. It's not as loud as it may seem in the video, though.
