Hey Jax! Because of your video, I was able to find this bobber kit and pick it up! He just so happened to live not too far from me. So far, I’m loving it. The kit is giving me something to do over the winter here in Ontario. I am stuck on one thing, however. I am not sure how to wire the lights back there. I have the exact same licence plate and signals as you too. Any helpful ideas, hints, or videos that would ease my electrical nightmare? Thanks and ride safe out there! EDIT: I never mentioned how much a like your bike, but I’m sure it’s evident in my comment since I’ve used almost every part you listed 😂

Hey Jonathan, it's pretty simple for the wiring. You just need to extend the wires for the signals and the brake light to where the battery is. I cut off the original 7 pin plug on the original fender and soldered the wires to the right spots that matched. Just need to play around to know what goes where. Thanks man! I appreciate it haha. My buddy picked up an 1100 v star so I may make some new videos with him and also I'll be added a new bike to my garage in the spring. Cheers.

@@SnackDetour awesome man! Thanks for the reply. I’ll be taking your advice and doing that in the coming weeks. Look forward to checking the new vids out with your buddy’s 1100. And seeing this new bike! Peace!✌️

@@SnackDetour really!!!! Man i would really appreciate it if could advise where can i find bobber kit like this online or in store even in Toronto or so.

@@vijaysaini7569 Like the styling of the fender? Unfortunately there's no one else that makes them like this one in terms of style. However blue collar bobbers makes some nice kits, but I find them a bit plain.

Did you buy your rear fender or make it? I'm building a vstar1100 bobber and I want a rear fender like that. Please respond.
@SnackDetour2 жыл бұрын
It's custom. You can't get this made again.

@@SnackDetour hmmmm I think Black Op Bobbers would say you are full of shit. Since they make that fender.

Yes I rejected it using the Vance & hines jet kit.

Jack, I put 10 inch apes on my 08. Vstar classic their perfect for me, and the stock cables will reach with a little rerouting, also added a short fender from blue color bobbers, the one on the classic is horrible,are there any other options for seats that you have run across,the seat you have looks great, but it's got to be uncomfortable as hell, thanks for any input bro
@SnackDetour4 жыл бұрын
Hey Jim I haven't found anything myself yet. If you watched my other videos I do complain about the seat. It does look good, but for longer rides its uncomfortable lol. I fine it's fine if I take a few breaks inbetween haha.

Hi mate, I’m thinking of getting one of these as my next bike. I see a few listed in my area with a bobber kit done with some extras such as a drag bar and blacked engine and exhaust. Do you think working on the bike on aesthetic items like a bobber kit etc can be done at joke easily? I don’t have a bike stand or many tools.
@SnackDetour4 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Yes the bike comes apart very easily with wrenches and Allen keys. A bobber kit you don't even need a bike stand. If you're doing stuff like maintenance where you want to remove the rear wheel and lube the drive shaft you will need the prop the bike up, but you can always fine solutions to rig something up. Cheers.
