Took me 7 hours, but I didn't have any issues, and I had like 4 people helping me, I had friends working on the other side while I was working on one. Went pretty smooth.

I dig the truck and the height looks just right. The only down side is that back bumper not letting that tailgate down. I own a 2010 f150 5.4 XLT 4x4 that looks a bit Similar to yours. Currently sitting on a 2.5 in lift sitting on 33x12.5x20, thinking about slapping on some 35s with this same exact lift kit you put on yours.

Would like to know what type vehicle lift you are using. Love the size of it

They were breaking because they are sockets. Not impact rated. They will snap when used with impact. Any brand will. May take longer than others, but they are not made to handle the hammering. And good video! I want to put a 4 inch lift on mine. How did it hold up over the years?

Did you have too cut the cross member?

Good video brother….did you ended up drilling the caliper holes bigger?

That's the difference between workin in the driveway and working in a shop.. I can bust this job out at work in 4-5hrs complete with an alignment but in the driveway the jobs always end up being days lol

I think 8-10 hours too is if you have air tools they make a huge difference in speed but not everyone is a pro shop lol.

I know this is old but did you have to cut anything? Getting ready to do my 2012 ecoboost
@thebuckaroos61353 жыл бұрын
In order to do any 4+ inch lift the cross members have to be notched, if I remember correctly it could go back to factory because you’re not taking that much out just enough for The differential to drop the bolt holes would still line up, I ended up having to use a reciprocating saw and a grinder to finish it out, good luck!

@@thebuckaroos6135 does this apply if you lift with blocks and a 6 inch front strut
@thebuckaroos61353 жыл бұрын
Yes that’s what I did in this video, The reason the crossmember Has to be notched is so the drivetrain can be lowered to keep the geometry of the drive shafts correct! Hope that helps, it’s not that scary to make the cut, if you are buying the kit new in the instructions it will give you a template to make the cut

I just did the 6" on a 2012.anybody have issues with the rusty lower control arm bolts? Most vids on this lift are just promoting the product.they dont show the cutting of the frame,the complications.i did the entire front end by myself in id say 12-14hrs.my son helped me with the rear which took us about 4hrs.
@thebuckaroos61353 жыл бұрын
It’s been a while since I did that lift, I had that dewalt impact that helped on all the bolts, no clue if I record the parts of cutting the frame, we were still pretty new to recording videos, and some times the angles just don’t work well for recording, I would probably never want to do anything more then a leveling kit ever again myself, my problem afterwords is my bolts come lose 😅

I loved that bumper, I recently upgraded to a ford raptor, and havnt been able to locate an off road bumper for it yet, but that was a really nice bumper, I would suggest it!

One thing that I seen wrong. You are supposed to use a vacuum pump to release the differential out of your spindle!! Good luck. It may give you a problem..
