One of the best videos out there on the subject, though

I had one of those on my 2014 Ram...I'm heading to Amazon now to order one for my 2022. Thanks for the reminder!

I love you! Thank god I watched your video because the tailgate assist I bought had theeee worst video guide and instruction manual I’ve ever used

I just put one on myself and that plastic piece will slide onto the cable if you just start at one end and slide it down or up whichever direction you want to go put it on an angle and slide it

I've been procrastinating with getting a kit like this. That door is heavy. Guess I'll get it done soon

Hey, work smart, not hard.

This won't make the tailgate weigh any less to lift. It just makes it drop slowly on it's own.

Jsut installed mine. The plastic piece that goes on the cable kept falling of and was eating through the Mylar and into my tailgate wall so I removed it. I also left the rubber bumper on there and it closes and opens fine without binding

Looks like a decent kit ..... I'd call it a win .......

Sketchy using rando amazon one, let us know if it lasts. I'm going to get a Dee zee just to be safe, may be no difference, who knows

I read all the reviews, this was the best (of the cheap one's) Looks exactly the same as the DeeZee.

Good point. Just did this today but couldn't get the cable clamp on without marring the cable, seemed pointless so I gave up on that part

@@Moment2Forever silicon spray, a pair of vice grips, and a pair of pliers is what I used. But it still wasn't easy.

Use a heat gun and soften up that plastic piece and then it will go on with ease
