I hit you up on IG, asked for your opinion on something for my Multistrada. Regardless, can you imagine if someone bought this bike and didn't know how to work on it. The repair bill would have been like $3k. Keep up the great videos man!!!

White buildup is just the aluminium corrosion, happens when the powder coat fails/paint scratch and brake fluid gets in there Very common with age

Same white built up on my M50 calipers that I rebuild, only way more. Is there an easy way to clean them (with some hot water and soap or some other solvent) as I'm afraid of damaging the slots if I use a small screwdriver. Thanks

@@georgeneofotistos2945 A light acid such as vinegar will clear them up. But they'll return again soon

that is a really nice looking bike. They certainly don't skimp on parts for those bikes. I rebuilt both calipers on my yamaha for what the one cost you. I couldn't believe how bad it was in just 4 years. Like a new bike after that

Not a Stylema caliper, they only started using them on the V4 Panigale.

Can you just dump the whole caliper in a ultrasonic cleaner when doing a rebuild?

No, you'll need to pull the pistons and seals out. If it's a 2 piece caliper you'll need to split it. Only then would an ultrasonic cleaner work well.
