2009 FX50 Muffler Delete

Deleted stock muffler. Pipes ran straight back (bent in appropriate spots) to stock tip openings. Stock tips cut from stock muffler and welded onto new pipes. Stock hanger positions used with new customized hangers.

@@meatycraftfan23 Don't remember, it's been a while since I had it done but it was definitely cheaper than $150. I went to a Meineke to have it done but I was also familiar with the work they do. Wasn't a random stop in.

Yes the cabin is definitely louder. So much so that everytime I go in to Infinity for service and they give me a loaner I'm actually amazed how quiet the loaner cabin is because I've gotten used to my louder cabin.

Have you had any stalls problems? I have a 2009 and removed the Resonator and the muffler. Sounds amazing but when it's cold, the car stalls, never dies, once or twice and then, drives just normal.

@@audis4guy pretty sure you have some other issue. Exhaust will never cause that.

@@jeremymitchell2513 exhaust can cause that if there is too much flow coupled with stock tune. The car will sort of “learn” the new flow state, but it will breathe much better with a tune.

Some might say nothing. The FX50 is the V8 and IMO the FX35 V6 had more of a growl to it. Infiniti kept the noise low to try to maintain more of a luxury effect than a sporty effect. Some of us just wanted that sportier growl.

No it's just a muffler delete. For me that was loud enough.

Thats the Viper Smart Start app but there are few different companies that make that type of alarm/remote start set up. I recently bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee and their UConnect system works with SiriusXM Guardian to do the same thing and comes equipped stock. Either way both set ups require a monthly fee.

I dont know how soon I'd have time to get up underneath there but it's pretty simple to do. There was no cutting required to remove the muffler they removed it from point where it's connected to the factory flanges. Then a local Meineke bent pipes to replace the muffler while still using the factory hanger points. I didn't go the mandrel bend route because the bends weren't serious enough. Any muffler shop with decent experience should be able to do it. The hardest part is lining up the tips so they sit evenly in the factory cut out. I actually have them sticking out a little more than factory because I liked the look.

@@a7madal3ssa do you have an FX50 or an FX35? I have the FX50 which is an 8 cylinder engine here. The 6 cylinder FX35 engine will not sound no where near as loud for obvious reasons.

neva4self i have FX50s Exactly what you have V8 ، But the pipe put by the shop may be different from that in your car so I want a picture or video to see the curves of the pipe that you have , and you remove catalytic ?

@@a7madal3ssa I only removed the muffler. I wouldn't remove anything else because the cabin noise is already loud as is. I will try to take a picture later and send it to you.
