I just did this job on my 2010 Murano. I also bought a $50 kit off of Amazon and had the exact same shim issues as you did. My kit came with four shims, one thick and three thin and the original part had three thin shims. I tried every combination of shims to get it work, and ended up using all four shims AND a washer like you did. It's working, but I think it's a little too far out. What makes this worse is that there isn't a spec available for the distance. What is too much? No idea!

I just shimmed it out until I didn’t hear it making noise

Currently doing this same job on a 2011 Rogue. Pausing for now due to those three Philip head screws for the coil not removing ! Need to get a impact screwdriver and hopefully that will remove them. Getting the shim thickness was a pain for sure. This car has three shims originally plus two in the kit. Thanks for sharing this video.

I think I took that clutch off and put it back on four times. I edited half of it out, that was definitely the worst part of the job getting them shims right.

@@lakesautomotivediagnostics6509 Thanks for your reply. I finally got the clutch assembly off and new assembly on this car. Used the three original shims first try and it was slightly dragging. Used one of the kit shims and that worked perfect. AC blowing nice and cold again. Your video was definitely helpful !
