2009 VW CC oil engine off error FIX

In this videos I show you guys how to fix an error message I was having on the 2009 VW CC. This is one of those error that was supper annoying. it kept comming on every 2-3 days. bassically tell me that the engine is low on oil. so I hade to keep putting oil in the Engine. the car was also at a local Shop and they thought that it was the intake manifold. since this was the second time they replaced it. It wass done at No cost. but less then a week later the Error came up again. so after much research I found that that it could also be the oil pressure sensor. so I purchase it and this is how I replaced it.

THANKS for this video as I've had the same problem with my 2010 CC. When it first happened, I called the dealership and spoke to a service advisor and he of course suggested bringing it in to which I didn't knowing that would cost me a King's ransom so I first added two quarts of oil and have been checking the dipstick since and there's plenty of oil on the dipstick, and that's when I thought it might be the sensor. I now plan on doing what you've done in this video as well as what one of your subscribers stated in changing I think he said the pressure switch hoping replacement of those two items solves the problem. I can't thank you and that gentleman who commented enough. I've subscribed to your channel.

No problem. I had to do a lot of research as well to find these As well. And I wanted to help others. So I am glad this was helpful. He had same issue when we contact the fearless so I was like I’ll fix it myself and save a bunch of money since when we replace the intake like 3 time and the error kept coming back I couldn’t believe that it was so simple. . Thé ère didn’t come back after so I was pleased that it was fixed

in my case the problem (oil pressure warning on idle) was dirty vvt adjuster/magnet! Litle bit of parts cleaner sprayed in each hole and problem is solved!!!

My car still have the problem, i replaced the oil pressure sensor but still the problem remain, after remove oil pressure switch connection the low pressure icon still blinking, so technician going to check the wiring, i will update you more in coming days.

No problem Keep in mind this Light can mean a few others things that is wrong with the Car. It could also be something with the Intake. Have him check this as well.

@@CarStomIt intake means, no issue wiring bro, the warning disappear for two weeks then again start to popup, now i plan to change whole engine oil , filter , air filter , can u give me some suggestions too, the light start to blink only after 4 to 5 km run

okay thank you for letting me know. Like I have said before this Error message has a bunch of other things that can trigger it. so for me it was jsut that . for you it might be others things. it could be something with the Intake as well. check that there is no crack on the intake. this could cause a vacum leak and also throw that error message. @@CarStomIt I clean the full oil pan and oil pump pick up tube, change new oil and oil filter but after that at the beginning of my journey car again show the oil pressure indication but I didn’t stop drive then I drive 150km continuously then return back so total 300km , the indication show only some time in first 10km, still the technician can’t rectify the issue😥

⁠@@shuhaibk4302 I notice it comes on for me after fresh oil changes on my 2012 Tiguan. Did the oil pressure sensor, fuel rail pressure sensor and pcv valve around the same time. It went away for a few months. Also have had it pop on at 100 degrees Fahrenheit outside with 5w30. I hope you find an answer, I am about to try and drop my pan and clean the pickup tube just like you did. Might install a new oil pump while the pan is off. I’m at 210,000.

I believe to get it fix is simpler than that and cheeper, check valve has two O rings change it and ready to go👍

Something may be wrong with the intake too. So it could be a few things maybe a vacuum leak too..

For this car yet. Those car is sensitive and anything voltage change the car can throw a check engine light.

Hey cam Thanks for the help recently. Noe I was driving to my family house and I realize my transmission oil is low then I saw the epc light blinked on the dash and disappeared 3 times few minutes after each blink. Any suggestion if it's my low transmission oil the cause because the gears not changing as normal?

One think that I can tell you these car when they are older the start to burn oil like crazy. This one was the same way it feels like every couple days we were putting oil in in. And the Low light could cause the EPC lights and that switch as well. So if I was you first thing first for the next few days I would Check the oil level at the end of the day. Make sure the car is cooled first. And if by the end of the week the oil levels is still good then look at the switch I changed. Also keep in my your intake might also throw an EPC. Anyway as let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the video. I had the same notification appear in a Passat 1.4 tsi. When I checked the oil level, it was very low. I refilled the oil. The notification starts to go away after I drive in the car for 5 minutes or more. I changed the sensor that you changed in your car, but the notification starts coming and never goes away. Do you have any advice to do?

well it depends on how old the Car is. Those cars start to burn oil like crazy one they start to get old. so you might be burning a lot of oil meaning you dont have to wait for the next oil change and you have to filled it up. Your only options is to drive arround with a couple quarts in your car and double check the oild every couple of day. once they get to that stage there is not much you can do.

Thank you very much for the quick and helpful response. The car has only traveled 140,000 miles, with documents for a regular and frequent oil change. The idea here is that it does not burn oil, and the crazy thing is that I have walked on it for approximately 1,500 kilometers. The oil does not decrease and its color is brown and has not turned black yet.

I had a 2008 audi and oil light was coming on like that. Change the sensor and still coming light on. Removed bottom cover of engine and found it very dirty. I cleaned it really good and it fix my problem

The Issue did not. One back but I sold the Car and bought a 2020 Honda Accord. So for me the issue was fix.

Anyone can tell me what is normal temperature of engine oil I have vw passat tsi 1.8 manual transmission getting issues while driving car after 20 to 30 mins engine oil temperature goes 124 degrees C" and coolant temperature is normal 90 to 103 degrees after that car getting error ' Check Engine service now ' then engine off automatically and goes into safe mode then we had scan the error has come ' cam Shaft position sensor range performance P0341' after one hour car start normally plz suggest ur experience about this fault ...

Hello man, Normally the temp should be arround 95C to 99C it might get closer to 105C but usally not opften. the #1 issue that I was seen with that that that it was burning the Antifreeze a lot every couple of weeks we were getting Coolant low lights. it start to become an isse where it would throught a check engine lights we even had that same error message as well. the mechanic told us that the Turbo inlate was broken and needed to be replaed. 7 months after I made that video were getting so many issue with that car we got rid of it. every other month something else was wrong. so we were spending way to much money on fix it. where it was not worth it anymore.

My sensor was leaking oil so I replaced it but now the car is flashing low oil pressure but the car maintains a good pressure and when I take off the connector the cel turns on. Do you think the connector is faulty and not the sensor

Yeah it could be. Those cars are so sensitive it might be. Heck to make sure it’s not rusted and all the cables are good.

This obsoletely work. Didn’t see that error anymore I til we got ride of the car and bought a newer model. But keep in mind this error could be other stuff too. So do your research.

nope we replaced it started the car the light was still there we drove the car on the highway for like 5-7 minutes and it auto reset. we did not have to blug any computers to do it.

the reason was because before I tried this I took it to a local mechanic and that is what they told me was the issue. so I paid them a bunch of money to only have the problem return in 1 week. and they were not helpfull at all. so that is why I mentioned it. After a lot of research I found out that this could be the issue and to my surprised it was the issue.

My steering wheel hard to turn on vw

Couple of issues. Check to see if you have power steering fuild. If the reservoir is empty, add some and turn the steering a few times. Check to see if your EPC lights in on. Check to see if you have a puddle of oils under the car. To make sure it’s not leaking. You your power steering wheel motor could have died as well. . If you have power steering fouls and it’s not leaking. The motor does or the belt broke.

After you change the Sensor? that weird. Did you make sure the Sensor is connected. I would sudject to take the negative terminal off wait 1 min then connect it back.. if that does not work then you should either have a check engine on the dash or something else is wrong with the car.

Almost any part store. But I would definitely check FCPeuro.com. They are really cheap compared to the dealers. Their actually get OEM parts from the manufacturer and sell them for cheap. Definitely check them out.
