2009 yamaha fjr 1300 top speed

133mph gps verified. Stock bike with calsci large windshield loaded with camping gear and very windy. Windshield was fully down.

Didn't get to 8000rpm, but plenty fast enough for camping!

My 2005 bounced repeatedly off the rev limiter at a gps 152, and that was with no bags. But that is literally all she had. I think at those speeds the riders weight makes some difference too.

Free Free gps verified with a larger than stock screen and a large duffel bag with sleeping pad roll on top acting as a sail from the passenger seat. Odometer showed much faster than what was recorded by gps. With no luggage, the bags off and the stock screen it could probably hit 155!

I have both a 2005 and a 2010 the 05 is stock 154 mph , the 10 after market exhaust 164 on level ground I'am 60 years old @ 250 lbs . My first liter bike was a 1978 gs1000ec and I never looked back . This bike is as close to perfect as I have ever owned, " the old mans crotch rocket " yeah maybe , don't need to go faster , don't need to dive harder into corners than this bike can deliver . Oh yeah I can sit in the saddle all day , love it.

I m regreted selling my 2010 for the 3rd gen after realising the 2010 is lighter and quicker..

I think it can go faster. I've seen a bone stock FJR hit 170mph. That's one hell of a bike, though.
