This is after the bike was down for 3 months due to transmission failure because of some bad riding habits of mine. Did the work myself and really enjoyed learning so much about this awesome piece of machinery.
This recording truly does not do justice to the sound of those pipes. They have an amazing low RPM rumble and just an ear splitting roar with just a slight twist of the wrist. It really sounds amazing! I love it! The camera really muffles the sound a LOT!

GOD DAMMIT MAN!!! you said the recording doesn't do justice, but it's already the best vmax sound i've heard for real, really nice work... congrats for the bike, so beautiful, in Brazil this beast stock can cost more than 40k dollars! sad!

Thank you Ademir! I do love the sound. Too bad there wasn't enough demand for them so Dale Walker stopped making the matching mid-pipe. I've ordered several replacement mufflers from him though, because of some little scratches and scrapes.

Thomas Grover Yeah that's too bad, I've seen lots of different exhaust system around and yours are the best for sure, no doubt, it really sounds like a real muscle machine, it just match with your bike, and the all black color u did, like a ghost rider, love it, I just saw Yamaha will officially start to import it to Brazil this March, converting it will cost over 41k dollars, too sad, if I ever can afford it I will go for it, my dream bike, have fun, be safe Thomas!

It is really loud and I love it. It you want the 4-2 setup, this is definitely the way to go.

Thanks J. I must say, I am not 100% satisfied with my ECU flash but I'm also not sure the flash is to blame for my complaint. My bike seems to run very rich since the flash/exhaust change/engine rebuild and it's quite frustrating. Very sluggish when it's cold and backfires sometimes when I let off the throttle to shift gears. I'm just not sure if it's the altitude difference, ECU flash itself, or some of the other work I did at the same time.

Curious if you still have your machine? I just put about 1700 miles on a 2020. I’m hoping that I’ll have no issues with the power train anytime soon.

Yeah, that was the report that I got from Dale last year. There just wasn't enough demand. It wouldn't hurt to check with him though. If enough people are interested, he may start making them again...who knows.

UFO Thundermax is the best sounding exhaust for a max, best sounding exhaust for a bike I've heard period.

honda12345678 I do like the Thundermax but the can is not appealing and the only demonstration I can find is up against a wall (same with the other UFO exhaust). I'd really like to see a youtube video with that exhaust under load on the open road.
