My pops has a 2017 but i built him full titanium exhaust from the heads back and used some carbon graves mufflers from my old 2006 R1. It has a power commander, intake, larger injectors, and a 75 shot of N2o. Barefoot, now i have no idea how accurate his speedometer is, i was able to touch 155 and im at 4400 feet above sea level. Giving her the juice i geared out at 169. I own a 2020 R1m and a 2016 FZ1. My R1 is a princess i only ride on the nicest days because ive dropped ridiculous money on carbon fairing, i built my own 4 into 1 into 4 under seat exit titanium exhaust like the old agusta f4i's, it has gytr race cams, forgot the name of the injectors, gytr intake, ohlins suspension and linkage, and all the super trick gytr rear sets, crimp ons, etc. I only run it on c16, period. Its absolutely phenomenal. I do stand ups on the freeway but mostly im a mountain carver and this thing handles like a 2004-2008 r6. Its fuggin marvelous. My FZ1 is my wife bike since i have a carbon eurotail on my R1m. But the FZ has every single thing you can possibly do to an FZ while running pump gas + a 50 shot. My dads vmax hangs right with me until i get into 4th gear then i start walking away which is insanely impressive. I LOVE the vmax. I think theyre hands down the most badass muscle/cruiser ever built. I acquired a 1992 vmax for such a small monetary investment im doing a frame up resto mod build. Itll have all 2006 R1 suspension, wheels, brakes, and im converting it to chain drive. Its getting fuel injection with a haltech elite 1500 ecu, ive already completely built the engine with custom carillo billet connecting rods, 30 thousandths over weisco forged pistons, i had the crank blueprinted and balanced, the heads are shaved 20 thousandths, ported and polished, custom ground cams, quaiffe stainless oversized valves, heat treated and hardened OE gearset, i could go on for way longer but who cares right? Point is, the thing is gonna be pretty cool i think. And im gonna just hand the keys to my dad to thank him for being exactly that. My dad. He has NO idea i plan to give it to him. He comes to my shop just to look at it and ask me how its coming he loves the thing. One more thing that im actually really proud of, i did the aircraft paint stripper in the frame, spent probably 20 hours polishing it, and had it powdercoated a transparent Yamaha blue. It looks like blue chrome its absolutely ridiculous. Cheers y'all.

@@thomaslouis5626, yes you did!! Manufacturers are allowed to get away with "manipulating" those date codes. Suzuki did that with their 1986-1989 Cavalcade 1400 touring bike. None were manufactured after 1989 and then stock on hand was slowly sold off. You could buy a brand new 1991 model in Norway or Denmark that was actually manufactured in 1989. There are other motorcycles still in production only available in countries with virtually no emission regulations. An example is found on Suzuki's website in Kenya where they still sell the 2022 TS185ER 2 stroke dual sport, continously in production in Japan since 1969! Another example is Suzuki's GN125 cruiser. First produced in 1981 and only sold in the US for the '82 and '83 model years but it has been in continuous production since then. You can buy a brand new 2022 model in Columbia or Mexico listed on their website. By the way, I had a Hindle Exhaust on my 1987 VMax, that model year not available in the US but was here in Canada, and it sounded AWESOME!! The licence plate on that bike read ICBM standing for, InterContinental Ballistic Motorcycle, lol! Ride safe!

Akrapovic has an x-pipe manifold to replace the cathalytic converter, which in it's own right weighs 10 kg's, 20 pounds..... I used one on mine 2009 Vmax 1700 together with a plug to disable the x-up valve alltogether. I kept the original mufflers ,they are just open pipes , to keep the original look, and the result was astonishing to say the least, the bike became a snoring beast tearing your head backwards, together with a new ecu it had almost 200 bhp on the dyno. Fuel consumption rose equally so I replaced the ridicilous 15 l tank with an aftermarket 22 l tank. Very complicated puzzle to get it in because every free space is used for fuel. In steat of 110 km's I could ride 200 km's till the next refuel stop, but only if you are not wringing it's neck because all that power has to come from somewhere. And still it was a very easy machine to ride, very docile, friendly, until you fully openend the throttle.

I feel your pain, I traded my 2011 VMAX in for a 2022 Hayabusa because the trade in price was hard to turn down. VMAX value has went up a lot. I bought the bike a year ago and put 10,000 plus miles on it. I got $9000 for the trade. The fastest I got the bike was 168 mph and had to let the throttle go. I only went that fast to see if the bike had the speed restriction eliminated from the ECU flash. I couldn't believe how stable the bike was at that speed. I commuted to work on that bike too, the only negative I had was the fuel tank capacity. The best tires for that bike are the Shinko tires too, can't tell you how many times I fish tailed at a light until I got the Shinko tires.

What is the address I would send my ECU to? How much does it cost to have your work done to it.

Crazy gains. I really wanna see some in depth tuning. Like how u change fuel. Ign. And etv cells. I seen brock do some on his channel.

20 HP is a crazy gain? On what planet? The "gain" you think you saw is not real. The bike has a rev limiter he removed which got him 20 hp. That's all.

Why didn’t you do the first pull in 4th gear? The “factory restrictions” is mostly the 149 mph speed limit on these bikes. (Tires are speed rated at 149mph)
@ralphnadams2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, max speed I’ve went with my bike is 149 mph, I noticed the power cutting at about 140.

1) Does anybody know where the EXUP valve is located on a 2020 VMAX? 2) Has anybody installed an Akrapovic cat delete pipe? I can keep the stock cans with this akrapovic cat delete correct? Do you know the two verticle pipes that go up to the rear two cylinders, how is the seal on the pipe maintained? Do they just slip over the existing header from rear cylinders? Or is there a pipe clamp? If there are clamps are they hard to tighten? Thank you very much!

My bike gained 120hp! ...after the engine was fixed
@ReneMongeau12 жыл бұрын
Mine, a vstar1100, gained 66 hp with a new starter clutch. It was much safer without any but less fun and now, I don't need to make noise with my mouth. This is a yamaha too.
