2010-2012 Ford Fusion Blower Motor replacement - part number MM-1091

In this video I replace the blower motor in a 2012 Ford Fusion. The fan was making a chirping / clicking noise at low speeds. The replacement motor part number is MM-1091 and is used on 2010 through 2012 model years.

Thanks for the guide. My fan stopped earlier today and after speaking to my father, we were certain the motor itself was bad. I used the video to take the fan out, hooked it up to a battery and it was still good. Turns out, the fuse blew. After making a quick trip to the parts store, the new fuse was put in, plugged the blower in and that solved that. If I didn't find your video, I wouldn't have known how to get the blower out in the first place. While your video didn't fix my issue, it helped with troubleshooting. For a man who delivers groceries for Walmart, I need that in this summer heat. So, thank you.

Does this part fix the problem for good? Saw multiple posts about this chirping problem come back. Rock auto actually has a "premium" replacement VDO / CONTINENTAL PM9381 compared to the "standard" replacement Motorcraft MM-1091. Anyone tried that route? Hate to waste almost $100 for a temp fix (price has gone up so much, four years ago it was $60 at ebay..)

Did you have a short going on too? Because when I wiggle my wires near there the fan kicks back on

Mine just developed the same issue. Glad to know I just gotta wiggle a wire, but its annoying constantly removing and putting back the glove box.

Im currently having this same problem. My dad suggested tapping it and it comes back on every time. So currently a simply fix. I’m being lazy though because I found this part for $40 at auto zone. lol

Crap! Ford install $474. Don'r have a choic right now. Fix it yourself if you can! Thanks for the vid anyway!
