I just bought this today after alot or research. It rides great, very quiet, and has the power. It's not as high tech as the new ones but had everything I wanted. Best thing is I got an amazing price of $9,900 with only 34k miles. It was a grandma only owner trade and in immaculate condition. Makes a great used car despite what CR says.

I bought mine a year ago , had transmission problems ,oil leakage,tie rod wear and tear but she still won my heart over with her power agility and overall simplicity. She is looking and running beautifully now. Just wish Lincoln would bring them back into production. She’s pushing 170000 miles and still runs like a champ.

I’m thinking about buying one with 117,000 miles, what kind of transmission problems did you have? And where was the oil leaking from?

Totally underrated car! This Lincoln is technically and mechanically identical to my 2010 Ford Fusion SPORT which is its own performance trim level of that car aka (Baby SHO)! The 3.5 24V DOHC Cyclone is the High Performance V6 not the smaller 3.0 Duratec V6 that is offered in those other cars, this 3.5 has close to 300HP and the 6spd is not the weak GM/ Ford collaborated built 6F35 those other cars also have, my car and this Lincoln have the Aisin T80 6spd which is made in Japan and used in a variety of other vehicles such as Toyota's ECT. Id say this Lincoln if you can find one in good condition with lower miles is definitely worth it! I do know starting in 2011-2012 they added the variable cam timing to the engine to help improve fuel economy more, my version is based off the 2007-2010 which is probably the more reliable version to look for with less prone to having any water pump issues. But we'll maintained these engines are very powerful and can get high mileage long term in ownership.

Whoever thinks this thing can't handle hasn't put it through its paces with another car. I chased a modded mazda miata down a mountain this weekend and kept up with it. I owe keeping up with it due to the accuracy of the built in navigation system, the miata would over brake for corners I could coast through because he couldn't see around them. However my brakes were smoking at the bottom but the miata driver pulled over with me to chat about the chase. EDIT: I am running 3 hankook roadhandler tires and my 4th was a replacement cheapo. The miata driver heard that and about lost it.

I’m dad bought his 2011 mkz mew on New Year’s Eve 2010, we still have it today and it is my first car at 17

I like this generation MKZ better then the newer generation MKZ. Mainly because this generation MKZ has one feature that I haven't seen on any of the trim levels of the newer generation of this car: front fog lamps.

I think the Mercury Milan was also available for purchase for the 2010 model year, but I think after that, it was discontinued. I also believe that is when Ford stopped the Mercury division, so now it is just Ford and Lincoln.

You DO get a nice interior. You have to make yourself OCD to notice those things. (well except for the glovebox)

The previous model looked much better, specially the rear. Still a good car, though.

@@shaunarchangel1188 the 2012 model has the same side dimensions as the 2007 model, the only difference was a front and rear face lift.

They picked this car out themselves. The cashmere interior (white seats with a black dashboard and dark wood accents) is stunning. I'm not even sure why Lincoln offered this horrible grey color but they stopped making it after the first year or two.

I own a 2012 mkz 32k miles, love it, only problem is the steering pump, definitely get some good tires for this one, mpg I average 20.8 w/ the V6 AWD option, the acceleration is there up to about 65mph then it falls flat, the media center is simple and the voice command system can be problematic but used for

+Mike Honcho Steering pump? It has electric power steering, so there is no pump.
@Inv4derxXx9 жыл бұрын
So what do you think pumps the power steering fluid? A pump that is belt driven. replacement pump is $165 direct from ford. So there is a pump. Part number AH6Z3A696A

for $37K or $27K if the interior is so bland (as this one is) no one would want to waste their money. I hope the new model being unveiled soon carries over no part of this vehicle. Ergonomically this car looks like something from the mid 90s not a brand looking to compete in the highly competitive entry luxury segment.
