Bruh! That bracket on top of the strut assembly was upside down upon reassembly. I’m positive you turned it back over…right? RIGHT?! OMG I’m stressing over this. Also, the witness marks on the top (bottom) of that washer/bracket was a big giveaway.

Can you tell me the length of the original coil spring and the length of the new spring? Does the fix work? Stevinson Lexus told me it doesn’t. I’m confused. Follow-up - Mine had a 19.5 cm lean and the replacement spring DID work. Lexus lost my service business moving forward.

What about the KDSS lean to the left? Ive seen it done where the KDSS needs to be adjusted via the relief valves.

@@davidtamang4569 the block trick didnt work for me. I actually lifted the truck on a jack for 20 mins on one side then put it back down. That worked

@@beexiong2995 you mind explaining how you did it? Mine is leaning to the passenger side I’ve tried opening the kdss valves and applying the blocks ( 4x4 wood) on the driver side both wheels but no more then 10 minutes after closing valves. I get No change

Typical of the KDSS system, I think... You didn't happen to get the rear height measurements and the old/new spring length? I'm thinking in my head the new spring was ever so slightly taller, maybe 5mm or so. This will add more preload to the left strut and will push the front hydraulic cylinder out (IFS, so bugger all impact on right side height) causing the rear cylinder to be "pulled" back in some, so both cylinders are back at their neutral height (this is the same length as the rigid connections). This rear cylinder being pulled back up (I don't think of it as pushed, as it makes it sound counterintuitive) in conjunction with the rear live axle and stiff ladder frame is what causes the lean to correct itself and bring that front right corner back up. I think this is how the KDSS hydraulic system is designed to work anyway. Your ride height is effectively set in the front by the right side strut (and requires additional preload to counteract the cylinders naturally wanting the push out due to a differential in upper vs lower hydraulic circuits, along with the accumulators, caused by the volume of fluid missing due to the piston; much like a gas charged shock absorber). You can then correct KDSS lean using the left side strut preload which will also level the back (forcing the hydraulic linkages to match the length of the rigid ones). The rigid link acts as a kind of fulcrum.

He showed that the new spring, for the left side was shorter, which would correct the ride height from left to right

Curious of the rear measurements as well. My new 2023 Lux leans 3/4" on the front, but 1" on the rear, both low on the passenger side.

The rear lean was unchaged after having Toyota replace the left front coil. Will it self calibrate eventually?

I feel toyota is dodging cost of realizing these main kdss hydraulic units are failing. My 2014 150 leans to right. Toyota removed front and rearcsway bars and it reverted to level. They want to fit springs ????. Surely the sway bars are holding it down ??

@@billk8429 Mine (2023 Lux) has a 3/4" lean and noticed it with 14 miles on it. Dealer is 70 miles away. Happy days, how can Lexus not correct this from 2010?

I have the same problem with my 2023 GX with only 1500 miles on it. I have noticed the lean from the first day when I took the delivery of the vehicle. The dealership has replaced the LEFT spring but now the driver side is about 3/4” to 1” taller than the passenger side. Is it normal ? What is the allowance difference between the sides?

The TSB states 20mm as max spec. Lexus doesn't want to help with these vehicles and it has been an ongoing issue since 2010. Pretty poor service.

You must have a blind shop Foreman that allows you to wear a dress watch while working on customer vehicles. Imagine the potential of accidentally scratching the paint on a new luxury vehicle creating a repaint situation that places the customer out of the use of their vehicle and potential of a bad repaint job! Don’t be lazy man.
