Those appear to be OEM Denso spark plugs. On originally mounted OE Toyota spark plugs made also by Denso spark plug number is underlined (same number). I personally do not use anti seize paste because it causes over torquing.

People dont tend to torque spark plugs. Good you do it. I've seen people ruining cylinder heads because they apply too much torque to the plug and break it inside the head. Some cars (in my experience, Mercedes with V6 and V8 engines) NEED the plug to be torqued to spec, because the plug is angled in the head, instead of straight on top of the head. If you dont torque it to spec, the electrode can be facing down the gas cone sprayed by the injector, hence, the gas wont burn well and cause a really stupid ass missfire. Keep on the good work, i subscribed after i saw your video on the ZF trans service on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have to do it on mine 😅

Good video. I am about to replace my original 2012 Denso plugs at 145k miles with the identical Denso iridium plugs, because I don't think I should wait until 200k miles. A new plug will work fine using the residual oil in the spark plug hole for lubrication. Anti-seize is too slippery and will cause you to over tighten the plug. A lot of people seem to use the anti-seize, so it probably works, but it is not ideal.

Love the 4runner durable engine but too complicated to change spark plug lot's to remove, spark plugs should be at top of engine for easy acces. Mahalo

Good vid. About to attack it next week. How many miles between spark plug change?

Toyota recommends every 120k using iridium plugs but i prefer about every 80k miles.
