2010 Honda Accord EGR cleaning/replacement

I didn't see you put on a new egr valve gasket. You didn't even mention one. I always use a new one when i take my egr valve off for cleaning.

Yeah I'll be honest, I've pulled alot of engines.... Never have replaced an EGR gasket if the gasket is already in good shape. Is it best practice for the longevity of the vehicle? Yes, but that is entirely relative on the length of your ownership. Thanks for the input!

@@dashautorepair You having pulled alot of engines has absolutely nothing to do with putting on a new egr valve gasket. Since when does pulling an engine require a new egr valve gasket? Really stupid comment you made there. I'd never buy a used vehicle from you, or let you work on my car, because you do things half assed and make up lousy excuses for your incompetence and laziness. You put in all that time and effort only to cheap out on a gasket. You should've at least mentioned that there is one for the viewers who don't know that.

I believe the owner of this Honda sold the vehicle in the heat of peak value. EGR deletes are solid, but I will stress that if you ever decide this route, a tune will be needed. Good luck out there!
