Tee M Mike also sold a lot of sneakers, earned a lot of ballers a lot of money and is the only former player to own a team. He is far in a way the most successful former player. I don’t see what you gain by trying to tear down MJ to honor Kobe. They were both great, and I’ll likely cry during Kobe’s hall of fame inauguration this year. And he definitely deserves a statue at staples.

Kobe was a rare individual. Such a brilliant mind and approach to the game. This kind of mindset, talent and work ethic in one person only comes along once in a great while. I loved seeing the evolution of Kobe not just as a player but especially as a person from an arrogant and cocky somewhat unlikable teenager to the humble and Reverend and deferring adult that was so wise and inspired that we saw him become. He grew as much as a person as much as anyone I have ever seen in the public eye. Most people that are celebrities when you first see them they are what they are and they don’t really change much if anything they become crazier more arrogant more secluded and isolated and eccentric Kobe just became more wise and more like an every man that was truly likeable and lovable in many ways. You’ll be missed

Recently had a chance to meet her with some friends in Boston, she was super nice and even in the brief conversation just oozes knowledge and enthusiasm for sports. How many guys today are gonna go back and watch Oscar, Jerry, Elgin, and other legends, and not only apprectiate them, but take from them and learn? Kobe was a bridge between eras, a true student of the game. He took techniques and advice from other eras and utilized them to add to his own abilities, and I worry that that aspect will be lost or diminished with him. How many players today would attempt to give Bi11 Russell a call to pick his brain? Who's gonna reach out to Kareem, to Dr. J, or any legend before MJ was on top for that matter?

Please if we change the NBA logo let it be kobe ... there is so much symbolism to have him be fhe face of the nba at this point man. Its beyond his stat sheet. And sadly this may be the only thing he will have to cement his name permanently in basketball history .... people already try him and say hes not top 10 although in terms of skill he is way better than almost everyone over all skill wise. So yeah there are already petitions going around i hope you guys agree because to have kobe be the face will be so good for the business of the nba in terms of marketing and for the image of what the NBA is all about ... its bigger than basketball and that is such an inspirational thing to know the face of the league was as impactful to life as kobe was.
